As long as this trail is dry, it is a great place to walk. You can walk a short distance or many miles. You can walk north past 45th street and usually never see another sole. You might see deer, spoonbills, gators, wood storks, raccoons, you never know. Beautiful and serene.

Listening to the sounds of silence. Just beautiful. A few parts of the trail could get muddy but otherwise good sneakers are fine.

Till it gets hot we walk out here every morning. Beautiful birds and views. When the breeze stops the horse flies attack and we have to stop walking here. The walk is lovely and very enjoyable. There are many different ways to walk but all nice. We usually get to see a Gator or two.

The boardwalk is well maintained. I loved the wooden rocking chairs placed around the trail. Very child and stroller friendly. We saw white ibis, cranes as well as a baby gator.

Apoxee (pronounced "a-po-ee) is one of those great little finds--it goes through a restored wetland hammock and pine flatlands in the western part of West Palm Beach. The entrance is on the west side of Jog Road, about one mile north of Okeechobeee Blvd. There is a parking area near the entrance, then a number of trails to walk.. There... More

Was very excited for this walk. I wouldn't call it a hike because it is very flat. About 20 yards down the trail and we couldn't go any further. I mean maybe if you had knee high boots on and don't mind possibly getting killed by a gator. Super flooded like half foot of murky palmy water as far as... More

There is so much to see and to suite whatever your photography preference! There are great open expanses for wide angle and fisheye along with birds, snakes, etc. to catch with a telephoto. I played around with HDR on the open areas to catch the reflections of trees and clouds on the water and they came out amazing! This place... More

I kept asking myself, “Why am I here?” as I sweated my way along a muddy path. In my case, I blame Nick. He's actually a top-notch, personal trainer who comes to his client and provides a customized fitness program. I suppose he knew that I needed a cardio workout, and that I get bored easily. Hence, our expedition through... More
