In all our years of travelling, we always visited the zoos, whether with children, grandchildren or just ourselves. Whether large or small, we enjoyed seeing the variety of exhibits. This is not one of the largest we have seen, but it was very enjoyable.

We went to a dinosaur themed event after hours of the zoo. They had a coupe little events for the kids and some were free with paid admission and others paid. Overall it was a nice night and got to walk zoo and see all the animals. The zoo itself has a lot of great architecture designs throughout the park.... More

Been taking my children here for ~20 years ... first with grandparents during school break. Upon moving to SoFL a few years ago, we joined and been coming at least quarterly ever since. Enjoyed by visitors of all ages. Don't forget sites for water fountains!

This is not a huge zoo but is certainly an enjoyable zoo. We took advantage of a Saturday eve. Roar and Pour event - apparently every two weeks in summer. It was a Beatle night band - very enjoyable. We walked the zoo, animals were very close, seemed like they were a little worn out after a hard day of... More

My wife loves zoos. She is one of those people, who read every plaque. So I have seen a lot of Zoos. This one was really solid. Every time we talked with the staff, they were very helpful. The staff gets an A++. This was from buying the tickets, to the many people working the zoo. Who ever hires the... More

What a fun little place ! As advertised, this place is full of shady paths and plenty of seating to relax. Animals seemed very happy and well cared for with lots of cooling water. The "Mayan Village"was beautifully done and well explained.

Lets face it: zoos are for children. But they can provide some interest for parents and grandparents too. This one does. Admission price is a bit high, but understandable given the obvious cost of maintaining the variety of animals here. On busy days, available parking spaces can result in a long walk to & from the entrance.
