Reservations must be made to tour the sanctuary. Teddy, my guide, has an amazing wealth of knowledge of the various animals on exhibit. The staff was loving and caring. The facilities were clean and the animals well tended. The entrance fee is $35, all money goes into the care of the animals, no federal money is used. I highly recommend... More

The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and eager to teach the group about each animal. The sanctuary was clean and aimed towards the animals best interest. The tour was better than the average zoo experience due to the tour guide and up close interactions with each animal, especially while the tour guide fed some of the bigger cats. There were... More

Manny was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the animals. VERY clean, very organized, and well worth the money. The cages are very big and with the exception of 2 of the cats, they were all up and moving (and some were very vocal) The only thing I was "disappointed" with is that I wish there was more... More

It is a wonderful place, where the animals live in great conditions and get lots of attention and love from the staff. The big cats appeared mostly unstressed by the visitors who could stand at a hand's reach from them. The cats felt very comfortable with our guide Kara, and even engaged in games with her, which was fun to... More

We went to McCarthy's on 1/23/16 with our 9 year old granddaughter and had a great experience. The guide was great, the educational component was great and the group size was perfect.
