If you love animals this sanctuary puts zoo's to shame as to how animals should be living in captivity. All the animals were active and happy. Their enclosures were well kept and clean. Our tour was private and educational. Our group was no more than 20 people which gives you a first class hands on experience. Our 3 children ages... More

Best place ever. This is not just a simple wildlife sanctuary, it's truly a home for wild animals in need. They had stories for each and every animals being here, and some of them were truly heartfelt. $25 for a fantastic experience here - you simply can't go wrong with it!

Went with a group of friends for the first time and it was a great experience, lots of animals to see and very informative and entertaining tour through the sanctuary, including stories on how the animals got there The entrance does look like an average home but don't be deceived, its literally a paradise behind the building. We also got... More

Between my husband and me, with taking every out-of-town guest to McCarthy's, we have collectively been there about 24+ times! Because. It's. Just. That. Good. You can't go wrong with a visit. $25 is so reasonable. It's the best animal experience I've ever had except for an African safari. Manny was our guide yesterday - and has been before -... More

Happened on this sanctuary looking for an outdoor event for our ladies club. What a wonderful experience! "Kat" our tour guide was so knowledgable about all the animals from the largest big cats to the smallest turtle. She spent needed time explaining the history of all the residents there and the anticipation of getting some well enough to return to... More

Ana did a great job of educating us on all the animals at the Sanctuary, from the birds and turtles to the big cats. You can tell that she really has a passion for her work there. It is very clean and you get closer to the animals than at any zoo. A GREAT EXPERANCE! Would recommend this to anyone.

We really enjoyed our visit. The work they are doing is incredible and so valuable. The staff was fantastic in sharing their passion, the stories behind the animals there and giving us an opportunity to get up close to the "residents" there. Highly recommend a visit.

We happened upon this place researching attractions prior to our trip to FL and I am SO glad we did! It is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary and their love and care for the animals they keep is truly genuine and shows through our guided 1.5 hour tour! It was moving and heart warming to say the least! They truly care... More
