Worthy every penny and then some! Mccarthy's Sanctuary provides an initimate experience that can't be found anywhere else. Our tour guide Kara was so knowledgeable and welcoming. We will most certainly be back to visit again.

Very organized, courteous, & intelligent staff. My experience began with a prompt return phone call to schedule my reservations & upon arrival, they immediately opened the gate when I beeped my horn (as directed on the signage). They started on time & we had a large group. Our guide Kara gave simple & clear instructions & the reasons behind them.... More

I'm always leery of sanctuaries of any kind because the couple I've been too in my area didn't have much to offer. But since my wife LOVES Tigers we took the 3 hr drive from Orlando to check it out. Loved it. Waiting on our guide we heard growls from behind the fence and I must say it freaked me... More

My family and I had a wonderful time here. Our tour guide, Kara, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and high-spirited. She was not deterred by the rain that fell on us through much of the tour. She did her best to showcase the animals, who were not always the most willing, without missing a beat. As for the animals,... More

Best animal encounter ever! My husband was unsure at first but ended up having a blast! You have to call and schedule a tour time but they are flexible. We changed our time the morning of our visit. Groups are small. I think we may have had 10 people in our group. The animals are close! There are even a... More

Best place to see exotic animals period. The only way you could get closer to these animals would be in the wild, except here you're safe.

My girlfriend and I went to McCarthy's the other day while on vacation. We both love animals but kind of get sick of zoos. McCarthy's is a wholly different experience: much more intimate with the animals and the tour guides all know each animal's name and story. It was personal and made us feel a connection to both the human... More

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed this place very much, he was very facinated with the tigers. Our tour guide was kat and she was very helpful and edcuated. We never realized how big a tiger is when standing up. We didnt get to see the crocodile because it was hiding. Kat had brought out and african bird and also a... More

They have a large variety of animals and you could get up close and personal with them. The tour guide (Kara) was great with the animals and was able to get the liger to run across the enclosure. Awesome experience. Check it out!
