I am an amateur photographer who visited the west coast to catch some beach sunsets. Venice Beach was one of my first stops and turned out to be less than what I had expected. Venice Beach was situated in a condo-riddled neighborhood, lending to a "safe-feeling" atmosphere. A fairly even mixture of families, couples, and singles came out for the... More

We went to Venice Beach to look for sharks teeth but when we arrived we were unprepared. For some reason I thought they would be just lying in the sand and I did not realize that you need to sift through the sand to find the teeth(my bad). There were german tourist who were professional shark teeth explorers with sifting... More

Spent the day here with my family. Great beach and hunting for shark teeth was so much fun. We found about 50 teeth all together and they are mostly pretty small but it was a lot of fun. They had decent bathroom and shower facilities.

This beach if very good for shelling, the sand isn't as soft and white as Siesta Key, but the water was clear and you could see very well when snorkeling. We would recommend it and it is free to go to.

We really enjoyed our time here walking along the waterfront and sifting through the sand to find beautiful shells and shark teeth.

Beautiful secluded beach, plenty of free parking and as a bonus, people playing music! Took a walk, lots of shells.

Pros: Free parking snack bar restrooms life guards fine sand The only con I have was that the water was really rough (for west coast beaches) but I don't know it that is typical for the beach or just a fluke on the day we went.

We went many years ago and it was much easier then to find the shark teeth. We only found about five or six, very small. But the kids were super happy we found them. There is food, restroom, and a pavilion that is shaded, very family friendly. Love this beach!

Venice beach is not the traditional white sand beach but is normal for beaches in this area of the west coast of Florida. Guarded beach with a pavilion with food & restrooms.

were were here to find Sharks Teeth, never did find any no matter how much we sifted through the sand. The beach was ok but after coming from Siesta Key it did not compare. We even liked Turtle Beach better especially for the shells. Good parking at the beach.
