You wont get the perfect sand of Lido Beach or Siesta Key but you dont get the huge crowds either. Love this beach and enjoy walking from the jetty to the fishing pier, sometimes finding sharksteeth along the way. Not alot of parking.

A grat way to start the day in Venice is by the "donation only " yoga on the beach. The times vary with the season. In the winter there is during the week days an 8 AM and 9 AM. There is also a sunset some days, and a more advanced at 9:30 other days. It looks like we'll over... More

Venice Beach is the main beach and is right at the end of the main avenue in Venice. This is where all the action is, so make sure to get there early in order to find parking near the beach. The beach itself is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Miles of turquoise blue water and uncrowded sand, all... More

Lovely place, wish we could have spent more time. Hoping to return and spend a few days. Not rocky like the neighboring Casperson beach.

Nothing spectacular. Not the place for teeth. Try casperson or stump pass. It is close to the shopping district. About 3 or 4 blocks. Tanning and playing it's great for.close to the jetty which gives you a good view for a picture.

I walked on the beach practically every morning during our vacation. The peace and quiet during my morning walks was divine. Plenty of birds -- pelicans, gulls, sandpipers, egrets and even a heron -- to blend with the water and sand in creating a beautiful natural landscape. New landscaping on the beach, apparently to prevent erosion, has created a spot... More

My lady partner and I visited this lovely place today. Easy to park and the board walk ways were very helpful. It was very quiet but I expect the place to be manic in season. We enjoyed our time here very much.

Never had been to Venice beach, but our kids wanted to go to the 'shark teeth beach'. We spent about 3 hours enjoying the beautiful rocky beach. .and found at least 20 shark teeth! Note: should bring strainers to sift for the teeth. .Walmart colanders worked for us. Loved the boardwalks at the beach. Bathroom facilities were great. Area was... More

Everything you could want, shark teeth, bathroom facilities, lifeguard, and a clean beach. The water was cold at this time of year, but people still went in. The sand is interesting and loaded with small shells. It looks a bit like pepper in spots, but it is clean. There seemed to be enough parking too.

With all the beaches in the area, this beach is my last choice, The sand feels like dirt and the drop-off to the water is too steep. I have heard that Venice has plans to upgrade it and I am looking forward to that.
