Nice addition to the south which connects directly to the Legacy Trail. The path is very easy to manage and you actually go under two of the bridges that connect the island to the main land. Great day of exercise after eating all that turkey! Get out and get some sunshine!

Last year we cycled this and did a circular route. This year we walked some of it on a very hot day. Be sure to take plenty of water with you. Flat wide path with enough room for walkers and cyclists. Wearied the car at the waterway edge - go all the way to the end of Airport Avenue, alongside... More

If you are in Venice, FL try this bike path to Caspersen Beach, or the Legacy Trail to Sarasota. Well maintained path with great vistas and a long open beach connecting with Manasota Key awaits you. At the end of your day, pick one of the many fine restaurants on Venice Ave.

We enjoyed a nice bike ride starting at the north trailhead and heading down along the Intracoastal Waterway to Casperson Park and the Gulf. It's basically a double wide concrete sidewalk but there are no streets to cross so a very relaxing ride. You need to keep your eye on the red/black arrows marking the trail or a couple of... More

Waterway park is a free concrete walk that takes you alongside the Intercostal walkway. You will share this small walkway with pet owners and bicyclers, as well as, parents with strollers. Last time I walked there I was followed by a manatee who would come out of the water and look at me every so many feet.

This trail is really beautiful and also connects to the legacy trail which is 28 miles round-trip. You are able to bike or walk both sides of this trail which goes along the intercoastal waterway. There are park benches to stop places to get water places to get snacks restrooms. It's a beautiful parkway. We begin the trailhead in Shamrock... More

Love this park.......We walk it as often as we can. And we also bike it as well! Beautiful scenic views, often see eagles, and manatees, Easy to navigate, flat well maintained walkways. Often encounters with gopher tortoises.........There is nothing to dislike! It is nearly perfect! Boats going by, others nearby that are enjoying the same views you are! It seems... More

This "linear park", which spans both sides of the Intracoastal waterway, is a very unique feature of Venice. Bike riders, joggers, dog walkers and strollers (the kind with wheels, too) are all comfortable sharing this pleasant patway.

My wife and I had a great day biking on this trail. One of the highlights on trail was watching a pair of dolphins fishing by the bridge. Path is very well maintained.
