The fishing pier is a must see for visitors to venice. It's a great landmark and also a fantastic place to fish. The pier is free to visit and car parking is also free. Although the handrails and pier sides overlooking the water are not very clean, they do provide running sea water and fish cutting tables every 20 yards... More

This is a great place to catch the sunset or some fish ! It is a long pier that extends out into the water with a little gift shop & bait shop half way up. The pier extends out from two awesome restaurants, Sharkys & Fins. You can fish off the pier for free & do not need a license... More

Awesome location to watch a beautiful sunset in the Gulf of Mexico. The pier and beach is the perfect location for sunset pictures . Quite a few people do fish towards the end of the pier with a small and friendly bait shop(some small gifts as well) can be located here. The beach is also beautiful and great for shark... More

What is there to say? It's a fishing pier. What makes it a little different, it has a restaurant and a beach. So you get it all. The restaurant is Sharky's. Great food, great place.

Sunset views from here are poetic. Just another fabulous spot in Venice to wind up or wind down your day. Nice views for photos, clean with plenty of benches for seating and plenty of action in the water to view some sea life. And when you are hungry, hit up Sharkey's for a bite. Always hit this pier when we... More

The pier is a great place to fish or just take a stroll. There is a bait shop on the pier but most people seem to bring their own supplies. You are allowed two fishing rods per person. A great place to take photos or watch the sunset! Sharky's and Fins are onsite if you want food or beverages.

Walking down a long pier to reach the end just to see the vastness of the ocean at sunset is so peaceful. Fishermen along the way to chat with and even a cute little souvenir shack on the pier itself give you that "old florida" feel. Great place to capture photos and enjoy the ocean breeze. What northerners yearn for.
