Nice pier and great beach to find shark's teeth at. Staying close to the pier was worth it for the shark's teeth. They also rent these long metal/aluminum scoopers at the pier which are quite handy to help with the search of the teeth.

We stopped off at the pier on a journey from Sarasota to Fort Myers - well worth the detour. Pier is about 200+ metres long and a magnet for local fisherman. The beach appeared to slope steeply into the sea but made for some decent waves so looked like a good place for swimming for adults (and hire your kit... More

The pier is great, long, has benches, a snack bar and is free to enter. They also have a bait shop right on the pier. We could see dolphins and manta rays at sunset.

I went here early in the morning to find the fisherman already out in full force! :-) It was for sure worth the little stroll there & down the pier. Great views of the beach and REALLY good photo ops! Lots of birds on the pier waiting for fisherman to feed them. A good 30 min little side trip.

A great delight to visitors as it's free of charge. Great to fish from and to watch the sunset! While visiting I saw: two manatees, a jelly fish, schools of stingray ,several dolphins and fish - all while on this pier.

Our son recommended the taco's from Venice pier, he has raved about them for a couple of years so thought we had better give them a go. We were not disappointed. The girl at the orders window was very helpful and friendly. The taco's didn't take long to arrive, very tasty, good price, less than $4 and the girl who... More

Free Parking and easy access. You do have to walk around and thru the crowd at Sharkey's to get on the pier. Fishermen were proud to share their stories of what they were catching and best times to fish. It is amazing how secluded the pier is at dark there no lights in either direction other than the Sharkey's/Fins restaurants!

I like the Venice Fishing Pier becomes it is close to Sharkee's where you can get some good food and listen to some great music as you share your fishing stories with fellow fishermen. It is inexpensive too and parking is free.
