Since we are local we go here for sunsets quite often. Beautiful place. Has the most amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico.

It was nice but not great, restaurant abutting it made you lose the beach feeling. The pier was ok but the Naples pier was so much nicer. Went once not in a hurry to go back. The locals were friendly and were part of the atmosphere which did add to the experience.

good variety of fishing from the pier year round, tackle & rods may be rented & live bait shrimp may be bought on the pier, however rare its patrolled, though somewhat well lit, young pre & teen can be vulger & present late hours unsupervised, so if your bringing family with young kids be advised

If you are going to Venice, then don't miss this, a characterful wooden pier with fantastic views and a decent restaurant

No place to take kids in the evenings as the filthy language used by young delinquent fishermen on the pier is deplorable!

Sticking far out into the Gulf of Mexico and away from Sharky's Bar & Grill this is one of the few fishing piers that is free. It includes cleaning stations all along it for those that fish and want to clean their fish right then. It is very stable and not worn out like most. There is a souvenir stand... More

Access to the pier is a little constricted because the restaurant is so near. A fishing pier is the correct name for it since many are catching fish there. A small building rents poles, sells bait & Souvenirs on the pier The bottom line is it provides a means of getting a good distance out over the Gulf with the... More

The wind...that is!! We live in SW Florida and a very strange cold front came in over the weekend...cold for us anyway, blustery 22 mph winds, still sunny but the temps were in the low 60's during the day, 40's at night. We were in the area and always enjoy walking on the pier in front of Sharky's Restaurant, really... More

The pier is a bog standard wooden structure with not a lot to recommend over any other pier I have seen. It does, however, have great views out over the sea and affords the opportunity to see the occasional Dolphin and Ray. The pier is heavily used by people fishing so be wary of 'flying fish hooks'.
