Doggie heaven

Nice beach for owners and dogs large and small. We went in the evening at sunset when it was a little more mellow. Nice area to rinse the salt water off the dogs after their swim.

This is a gorgeous dog beach about a half-mile south of the Venice Fishing Pier so it was easy to walk to and watch the dogs interact with other dogs, children and adults. How could one not have a big smile on your face from such an experience? Anyway, we enjoyed it very much even though we don't have a... More

My husband and I just moved to Tampa from Siena, Italy. Since we love to explore and search for fur-friendly areas in the US we decided to head south to Brohard Paw Park this morning. It was well worth the hour (plus a bit) it takes from Tampa to visit this dog beach. Why? Well, here are my top 5... More

Easy beach access for dogs of all kinds is a nice amenity in the Venice area. Be warned, however, that some dog owners are lax in attending to their own dogs and allow them to run unwatched. I have seen small dogs completely overwhelmed by groups of larger dogs that are running together.

Great place to take your dogs. Only dog beach in the area. When they are all done playing they have an area that you can give them a bath. We have been going there for 2 half years.

Safe place with plenty of room to let your dog run loose on the beach. There is a fenced in area with shade trees. If you you don't want to use the beach.

One of the best dog beaches my golden retriever & I have visited. Great facilities, parking, beach. The people & dogs were friendly & welcoming. We will be back - great job.

Only dog beach I know of. Has small park area fenced in and has water, picnic tables, waste cans. Problem is the length of walk to the beach area which is about a block away and along a creek bed that could harbor alligators. Most owners are responsible but need to be aware of aggressive dogs. Dogs love to run... More

Liked, plenty of parking, enclosed double fenced doggie park with access to the beach. Very friendly atmosphere! Did not like; a bit of a hike to the beach area if you are carrying supplies. I suggest bring an umbrella or canopy to shade yourself and your dog from the killer sun. Definitely coming back here.
