Top Notch Doggie Beach

Extremely popular with dog owners from all over the region, Venice has done it right with a great beach, poop bag dispensers, and showers for the dogs after their dip in the gulf.

Thanks to the City of Venice, you can let your pooch play off leash and in the water all day long! Thus is a beautiful spot just south of two of the more famous restaurants in the area. Just be aware that there are no fences on the beach and all dogs are allowed. If your dog is uncontrollable or... More

My Scottie had a great day running loose on the beach and splashing in the surf with the many dogs. I had a great day chatting with the other dog owners and seeing the many interesting dog breeds. I recommend an afternoon on this beach even if you don't own a dog.

nice size area to let dogs run loose and play in the surf. Beach area is not fenced so dogs can run off if owners aren't in control.

We live in South Jersey and visit the North Port / Sarasota, FL area every winter. Always looking for dog parks while we travel, we found a gem in Brohard Paw Park. We've probably been to at least 30 different dog parks throughout the country. By far, this one is the best...... AND IT'S FREE! !!!! I'll start by saying... More

Wide expanse of beach for a lot of fun loving pups. Gets a bit crowded on the weekends, but more the merrier.

This park/beach is perfect for dogs and owners. There is everything you need to have an enjoyable day with family and dogs. I highly recommend this park. The beach is completely off leash and very clean. There need to be more parks and beaches like this. We are visiting Florida for two months and will be back to the park... More

We are travelling in Florida with our dog for several weeks. It is sometimes challenging to find places where dogs are welcome. Boy are towns and businesses missing the boat. I have never met more responsible and wonderful people than dog owners. There is an enclosed dog area but the real attraction is the beach. there is a fairly short... More

The park itself is typical for a Florida dog park. Fenced off areas, one for big dogs and the other for small ones. What makes this park rise above the rest is beyond the back gate of the large dog area. That is the path down to the beach. Yes, Fido can run and play off leash up and down... More
