This is an awesome dog park that is just perfect for all you dog lovers !! You can go and have fun & still be right on the beach without having to deal with people that do not want you or your dog near them. It is also a great place to meet other dog lovers and have nice conversation.

Took our Golden to dog beach, and it was FABULOUS! Just a few tips for the older, (like me) dog lovers. IT is a LONG walk from the parking lot to the beach, so beware, if you are carrying breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some OTHER dogs have a nice habit of lifting their leg, and marking your beach bag, or... More

Was in town for the Fox Lea horse show with our lab. Watched our daughter ride in the show, then took our lab to the beach. Poo bags along the walk way, and showers near the exit. The waves are calmer than our home on the east coast near Fort Lauderdale. A few people had their dogs on paddle boards.... More

This is the only dog approved beach and it is a nice outing for any dog. My dog loved frolicking in the waves and on the beach. This was my first time going and it was right before a storm was brewing so no one was out there. we decided just to let him run around for a bit before... More

We have taken our dogs several times and it is bliss! Beautiful beach, plenty of room, poop facilities everywhere, nice boardwalk, and happy dogs everywhere. Our dogs swam, chased the ball, and played off leash with the other dogs. The best dog beach ever! Also has a freshwater hose to rinse off the sandy dogs and humans. I did heed... More

We included our dog in everything that day. The beach was great! Our little dog didn't like the waves and a couple dogs didn't seem so friendly so he wasn't off leash long. Most of the dogs and owners were really having fun! We will be back

it is the only place he moves quickly to get to. The setting is very picturesque. There is enough room so all the different sizes of dogs have room to be to themselves. There are poop bags provided and water and a fresh water hose for those who have been in the salt water. A wonderful resource for dog lovers.

I have lived in Sarasota for a long time. There are no places left to bring your dogs to swim off leash but this area due to irresponsible owners. It's the worst smelling beach ever. They provide dogs bags and have a great system. But as usual unleashed dogs run off and poop everywhere and owners do not clean up.... More

If your dog wants to swim with other dogs, then this is the place to go. Dogs are free to run the beach and chase each other into the water. It is the only place on the beach that dogs are permitted to go. Bags are available for you to pick up your dog feces. Parking is free.
