Sunset view, good music, cheap drinks. This is Florida

This is what Florida is all about. You can sit at the bar or table 10 feet from the band and watch the sunset across the street. Friendly service and when a scotch only costs... read more

live music, chill beach bar scene, open tiki hut -- if only smoking in bars was not allowed in Florida . . .

I went to an event with about 50 members of the Tampa Bay Parrothead Club. The event was to help raise funds for a member suffering from cancer and to commemorate the anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon Gulf oil spill. Scheduled for a slow Saturday afternoon from 1-5 with managements blessing and knowledge. After myself and the group had been... More

what a lineup of live music! Great spot to hang out and unwind. The new menu has expanded and the BLT is damn good.

I am still taken back by the fact that this local bar threw our fundraiser out of their location. Connie of the De Lei ed Parrots reserved this Tiki Bar to put on a fundraiser for a member the Tampa Bay Parrot Heads who has cancer. Members of the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club traveled from all over the area... More

In response to this review Connie never contacted Ka'Tiki to reserve our venue. Her group was invited by a solo local musician who was reserved to play that afternoon. Although the cause was a good one, Ka'Tiki is a place for live music NOT POLITICAL RANTS. This is the reason for the actions taken that afternoon. Connie was paid for... More

The bartenders are typical Florida slow. The guys at night tend to be too cocky - try out the dozens of other bars in Treasure Island,St Pete Beach,Madiera Beach and so on. It is hit or miss on getting a friendly bartender, but they do lighten up a bit in the summer when the snow birds are gone. Weekdays during... More

I've been stopping in here several times a year for the last 12 years. It has changed and gotten more touristy, but it still keeps some of the local flavor I always enjoy. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset, drink prices are reasonable, has the outdoor feel of the beach. They bring in some good music.
