You must visit this rehabilitation center, it is so uplifting. There are no tours, it is more of a free-style-walk-yourself through the bird habitats. Yes, this rehabilitation center is very light on visitor amenities and its non-profit shoestring budget shows. Volunteer run bird rehab center. Has nice boardwalks through the mangroves and quite a few 'boarders'. Great place to spend a couple of hours with kids or when it's blowing to hard to fish. More

An interesting place for very close contact with some of Florida's native birds. A bit more run down than I remember it being in the past, but is run on donations so be sure to contribute if you stop. I happen to love Pelicans so I enjoyed it a bit more than my son and husband. More
