Not much birding, but, arriving on a windy day I was delighted to see that not only are the beaches super, but kite- borders congregate here. Watching them out in the... More

What a great beach in the middle of Tarpon Springs. You can walk on this beach or just relax & enjoy the peace & tranquility. It doesn't get as crowded as the well known places & is very easy to get to.

We just bought a condo in the area and we headed to Sunset Beach for what else, sunset. We went a few times and loved every second of it. Great for picnics and just taking in the beauty of the Gulf Coast.

Free parking, nice beach, it is a great place to pop over to and watch mother nature do her magic. I have hundreds of photos from here, none the same. Families, locals, vacationers, and everyone leaves at sunset....nice local secret spot

Sunset Beach has lots of pavilions for picnics and has beautiful sunsets. The beach itself is fine for laying in the sun but not very good for swimming except for small kids because it is very shallow for a long way out. Just down the road from Howard Park and more of an inland beach. Small and quaint, offering seclusion and tranquility. Picnic areas, bathroom and changing facilities available. A quiet oasis.
