when showing guests our new 'home' city, Tarpon Springs, we like to show them Sunset Beach. It is small, but faces out to the water on 3 sides. the parking lot is pot-hole city, but unlike the neighboring park, has no entry fee ... just parking fees, and not even these if you're just eager to drive out in to... A great little beach area with a beautiful view of the sunset. It seemed well used by locals. Plenty of benches to sit on to enjoy natures show!

Several times this season we visited Sunset Beach. Nice small beach with free parking. We enjoy watching the Kite Boarders which are usually there on a very windy day. They are so excited to watch especially when they get pulled high in the air. Great place for family. And the Florida sunsets are great from this beach.

Beautiful beach, quiet and clean. Hidden away gem. Saw parrots in the trees! Can't wait to visit again.

Great place kindda quite and beautiful. My husband and I love it here and have such great memories of this beach. You never know when you will turn around and have a dolphin or 2 right behind you. We love it so much 11-12-13 we got married on this beach. It's a must see.

beautiful sunsets, scenery and nature. If you like to select shells as souvenirs or for crafts, you've found a great source in this park.

This beach is absolutely the best place to watch the sunset. Crowds gather every evening just to do that. There is adequate parking for sitting in your car to watch the setting sun. The palm trees wave gently in the breeze. Speedboats and fishing boats go by. On one Thursday evening per month there is a band concert free of... More

I set my paddle boat in the water and went out about a quarter mile .The water is shallow all the way out and my wife caught a mangrove snapper while fishing. I have never seen the sunset from the gulf coast before. We were told it would be beautiful, but to see it for ourselves, we were overwhelmed. Absolutely gorgeous!!

Shhhhh. We locals prefer Sunset Beach to Fred Howard. It's smaller, quieter, and feels like Old Florida. It used to be a walking beach only a few years back, but now you can swim and do other water activities there.
