This is a FAV local beach - I almost don't want to let other's in on the secret :-) It's not as overly crowded as the larger area beaches. They do have restroom facilities available. A few covered picnic tables. They even have free beach concert's once a month. It's clean and normally not to crammed. View's north to Howard's... More

A hidden jewel of Tarpon , awesome sunsets. Must see if your in town. Peaceful and serine palm tree's and slight breezes, view to the barriers islands with the gulf in the back round. Sun sets off the south tip of Anclote island make for great pictures.

Beautiful and and not crowded. Nice place to drop your own kayak and go exploring. We got really close to a manatee.

I traipse out here frequently with a chair, a ponytail holder and book. My only objective: chill for 1/2 an hour, watch the sunset, pack up my toys, head home with a lower blood pressure and a "happy that I live where I can see that anytime I want" kind of peace.

Sunset Beach Tarpon Springs is small and hidden from the bustle of larger area beaches. There are no souvenir stores or restaurants but there is a wide swatch of soft beach and clear Gulf water. It is a favorite spot for kiteboarders. Parking is limited but free. There are public restrooms, picnic benches and a gazebo. The City of Tarpon... More

Sunset Beach is so rightly named we had the most wonderful time this spring down there with taking photos with our grandsons . They loved photo shooting the sunsets. They are gorgeous and I see why the town comes into the park to watch the sun set....it's like a space ship landing ! I am so in love with Sunset... More

This local beach is maintained by Tarpon Springs and they do a great job. They have added benches. and new sand this year. There is a covered picnic area as well as a boat launch. We live on the Gulf facing this beach and can walk to it in 4 minutes. It is much busier than it used to be... More

Sunset Beach is not a large area but it is clean and fun to visit. They do have ample parking, rest rooms and sometimes special events such as movies at night or concerts from local groups. This is a nice place to get away from the crowds and still enjoy a nice beach!
