At the end of Gulf Road in Tarpon Springs, we would have never found Sunset Beach without the GPS. It juts out into the bay, and you can sit in the shade of the palm trees gently swaying in the breeze. If you want more activity, there were groups parasailing, sail boarding and boating. Me, I was content to watch... more

Sunset Beach is a small park with a sand beach all around it. It has a small bath house, picnic tables and grills. I am sure people come to Sunset Beach all... more

Little known municipal beach, about a mile south of Howard Park, off of Florida Ave. It is the best spot to watch the sunset (hence It's name), and to fish, picnic, or launch your small boat. The dolphins appear nightly near sunset and there are always herons and egrets willing to share your food. Covered pavilions with built-in barbaque pits,... more

Sunset Beach offers a free monthly concert April through November. Bring lawn chairs and a picnic basket and watch the sun go down to live music. Very casual - bring the kids. Hot dogs, etc. are also sold. See wesite: [--] for dates and times. more
