This beach is beautiful! The sand is pretty clean and easy to walk on, and there are no large rocks at the bottom of the water when you are walking in it, like some beaches. Sometimes it gets crowded, as it is a smaller size beach, but it is worth visiting! Make sure you have a couple dollars (no more... More

Go for the reason it was named. Go if you have little kids as it has a long shallow area with little to no wave action. Restrooms on site. All kinds of wildlife to see.

Whenever we are in town, we stop at Sunset Beach to see the sunset. It is a great place to watch since it is a little "island." There are picnic pavilions, volleyball courts and sometimes a food truck. There is no fee, and usually plenty of parking. Definitely check this spot out for the sunset!

This cozy little beach brings a lot of enjoyment to both the active young set and the laid back retirees as you can see in the attached photos. It offers picnic pavilions, swimming , volley ball court, and beautiful Gulf Coast sunsets. The Tarpon Springs Recreation Department sponsors a free concert once a month usually on the third Thursday of... More

I moved recently to the area about 30 minutes away from the beach and I find it to be absolutely relaxing small enough for a nice little getaway areas to barbecue and a playground for the kids if you want to bring them with. Bathrooms are clean there is no eating area but you can bring your own food and... More

This beach is very small but really nice for a afternoon out by yourself or with a few friends. They do have limited amount of grills and a small playground. Not recommended for large groups. It is also nice for watching the sunset.

Only minutes from the house and a small beautiful beach. Quiet and sometimes they have bands perform at sunset.

My husband and I recently purchased property in Florida and we drove out to Sunset Beach to check it out. It was more than we expected. The view was breathtaking and what a show we had from the kite boarders. That was so exciting and looks like so much fun ! My 74 yr old husband wants to look up... More

The picture shown of Sunset Beach does not look anything like the beach I visited 3 weeks ago. The sand was very wet and compacted and shelly and rocky making it hard to walk barefoot on it. I much prefer Fred Howard Park Beach just north of Sunset Beach. Soft white sand and food concession available at Fred Howard. There... More
