Interesting and short excursion

The boat does not go very far out which was great for those who might have an issue with motion sickness. Captain was very informative and had a great sense of humor.

It's just OK....kinda cheesy....they don't seem too thrilled to take you out....I guess we are just another day--another dollar......

I've been on this boat tour before about 5 years ago, it was exactly the same. It was cute for kiss as they give you the history of the sponge docks and have a diver who gears up and goes overboard and finds a sponge. Boat doesn't go out very far and honestly, the diver didn't seem to be too... More

We had a wonderful time in Tarpon Springs. A great boat ride and experience for the kids to see someone in the original Greek diving suits go down and get a sponge. The crew was EXCELLENT! It was Max's first day diving and he was great with the kids. Definetly the Boat to ride if you want to take in... More

While visiting Tarpon Springs, took a side adventure boat ride on the Anclote River to see how sponge diving is accomplished. What your paying $10 pp for is a short boat ride, introduction and informative talk, by the Captain, on sponge diving, and a live demonstration, by a hard hat diver, on diving for sponges. It's fun, informative, cheap, and... More

Cost about $30 to take the family on a very short boat ride away from the docks (not into the gulf, nor anywhere even close) to watch a diver go overboard in an old timey diving suit. The diver was friendly and informative, it was a neat demonstration, and I'm glad to have done it...but I don't think we'll do... More

This short boat tour gives you a glimpse into the Sponge Capital of the World and the Greek sponge diving trade of old - on the way out you'll pass a fleet of tirhandils, traditional Greek boats for sponge divers. The Captain is informative about the various types of sponges and the sponge industry. The hard hat diver is very... More

Considered the larger boat but glad we chose this shorter trip with the diver demonstration. Perfect

Jumped on the last boat of the day on a whim with our 12 yr old grandson. Frank, the diver, was very informative and friendly. Learned some interesting facts regarding sponge diving and the industry....very pleasant experience.

Great deal for our money. My husband and I paid $8 each, and our boys were free. The trip was short, but very informative. My sons, 9 & 6, enjoyed watching the diver suit up and harvest a sponge. The diver posed for pictures with everyone that stopped him. They do offer a stack of postcards, and at $1 we... More
