Very nice 3500 feet or more of elevated boardwalk. Saw lots of turtles, fish, birds, some medium size gators and a few baby gators. Great for $2 a car!

Easy trails...probably wheelchair accessable. Nice views...turtles, birds, butterflies...mosquitoes. Need to update/clean the vistors' center. Recommend if you have 1-2 hours to kill.

Explored Lettuce Lake Park for the first time this past weekend. If you want a break from the Florida heat, this is the place. Broadwalk along the river and marshy setting if the lake is nicely shaded and provides a pleasant afternoon stroll

What to do on a rainy afternoon? Visit Lettuce Lake Park. Because of the rain it felt like we were the only two persons there. We saw a lot of nice birds. If you keep your eyes peeled, you can even see aligators and owls, so take a camera with you. Lettuce Lake Park is a nice little gem in... More

Very beautiful and well kept park. The paths are the perfect length and the views are breathtaking. I loved the tower that overlooks the river. Most of the path is over the water which is amazing. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to any nature lover. Plus only $2 dollars to get in. This is a place to... More

This park is right near USF, the veteran's hospital, Florida Hospital, Moffett Cancer hospital, etc. It takes you immediately away from the city traffic and crowds and into the wild. The entrance fee is $2 per vehicle. You can rent kayaks/canoes as well. The roads are well paved and there is a boardwalk (but you can't walk your pup on... More

For as urban as this area is, and as developed as this park is, it's still rather wild. Boardwalks lead to picnic shelters sitting inches above water where everything is lush and green. A short 1-mile path loops through the property with exercise stations. A boardwalk goes out to the water. You can rent a canoe, too, it comes with... More

We love the boardwalk and there's a park with slides and swings for our son. It's a great way to get closer to florida wildlife as well. We've seen alligators, turtles, snakes and all sorts of birds and insects.

You know what makes mothers drink? Their kids driving them crazy all summer. All the fighting and arguing, and the eyes constantly rolling. To avoid damage to my liver I enrolled my oldest in canoe camp. Hillsborough Co Parks and Rec have the most affordable day camps around. It was 140 for 2 weeks of camp. Great deal! He may... More
