Lake Park is a nice North Tampa park accessible 7 days a week for a $2.00 vehicle fee. The play ground is currently closed but set to reopen in June. They are currently installing a BRAND NEW play set and it looks to have lots of new and improved equipment. You can rent canoes from the Ranger for a $20.00... More

Nice boardwalks and views of the Hillsborough River, picnic areas and a great grassy sprawl to lay on a blanket and have a picnic! More

The serene quietness and real Florida setting! Lots of wildlife and plants to see - like a walk thru OLD FLORIDA - hiking and nature trails everywhere! More

Nice park for walking and biking. Bike trails and boardwalk available. Scenery can be a little spotty depending on the season and water levels. Overall a nice way to spend an afternoon outdoors. More

This is a beautiful and well maintained park. We come for the paved bike trail which is mostly under shaded oaks which allows us to ride longer in the Florida heat. There are plenty of picnic tables but would recommend reserving one during holidays. With plenty to do, biking, walking, canoeing, it's sure to please! More

Seemed like just any regular park. Boardwalk was nice but when we went the water was very low and didn't get to see many animals. Won't be going back there. More

there is small fee now that the county charges it's residents but it's definitely worth it to go to this park, ample parking, great nature trail with real wildlife that can be spotted or just educational plaques to inform you as you go along...it's even got boat ramp access. More

I love this State Park being a Tampa native! This facility borders the Hillsborough River where you can fish, rent a canoe,or take scenic walks through well marked trails. You will see nature at it's finest any time of the year. It has a look out tower and camping/picnic facilities as well. This and Lake Park in North Tampa are my favorite spots! More

I spent half a day here back in November and couldn't believe I'd lived so close for so long without taking advantage of this gem. We only spotted a few animals -- the expected squirrels, birds, alligators, and turtles -- but loved the views and the walking paths. More
