This is a decent getaway. Not usually crowded. There is always something in bloom or some sort of critter to be seen on the trail.

Lettuce Lake Park is a beautiful place to enjoy some of Florida nature! I always walk on the boardwalk which is really nice but they do also have a nice paved path! The observation tower offers a beautiful view of the river and often osprey's flying over the water! Keep your eyes open while on the paths looking for the... More

Truly a beautiful setting for alternating biking and walking for only $2 per car. We will definitely go back for kayaking.

Enjoyed the elevated walkway through the swamp, lake and trees. Heard many different birds and other wildlife scurrying as I approached. Enjoyed the visitor center and the displays providing the history of the area. This was just what I needed, to get away from the traffic and noise. This is my idea of a magical kingdom.

You will find Lettuce Lake Park to be the best value you have ever received for your two dollars. There are a number of large individual park locations along the well cared for road inside. Including very large natural wood gazebos. European workout stations all along a very long paved jogging track. A nature museum and a catwalk along a... More

Great place to visit. Walk on the boardwalk to view the wildlife, kayak, or bike ride on the path. There is also a playground for the kids.

We read all the reviews and went to this park. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. Observation tower closer. Can't rent a canoe/kayak unless you have a local cell phone (which we didn't as Canadians). Didn't see any staff other than the person collecting the entrance fee. Lots of boardwalk through beautiful swamp/forest but we didn't see much for birds or... More

My family and I agree that Lettuce Lake Park was our favorite experience in Tampa. We got to see a side of Florida that is not built up and retains its natural beauty. Our time was limited, so we were only able to stroll the boardwalk that leads over the swamp and through a forest of old cypress trees. We... More

Very nice boardwalk which gave us the chance to see habitats in Florida not always seen by tourists. Both the boardwalk and the paved trails were very suitable for people in wheelchairs as well. People were very helpful about pointing out wildlife along the boardwalk, and we got great views of many species of birds and a good-sized water moccasin.... More

I live nearby so we visit quite often. It has a great boardwalk and places for kids to explore. Also - good photo opportunities!
