Lettuce Lake Park opened in 1982 and quickly became a hub of activities. The 240-acre site offers something for everyone. Wooded picnic areas and a playground are family favorites. A 1.25 mile bicycle path/jogging trail, complete with a fitness course, meander through the park. Lettuce Lake is also a haven to study nature. An interpretive center, featuring exhibits, leads to a 3,500-foot boardwalk and an observation tower where visitors can view an extensive variety of wildlife. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent to visitors to experience a wholenew side of the Park.

We had some time to kill on our final day in Tampa and, based on other Tripadvisor reviews, we decided to visit Lettuce lake Park. We were so glad we did! Admission is only $2 for a carload and the visit is well worth it. We strolled along the entire length of the boardwalk and saw the beautiful lake and... More

I'm not sure why this park has such stellar reviews. It's not very big, it's split into several different mazes to make it feel bigger, there was little to no wildlife, the "observation tower" is only a couple of stories up, and there is a huge factory on one side. This area is loaded with amazing parks, most of which... More

This was a great place to take the kids with Christmas energy to burn. There are numerous pavilions with picnic tables and grills. What more can you ask for: clean restrooms, playground, open play areas. The boardwalk around the lake allows you to see a variety of birds, fish, turtles and alligators. I did not take advantage of all the... More

Living in Palm Harbor, Florida, I do not go to Lettuce Lake Park that often, but always enjoy doing so. It has the best nature trails around, an observation tower with a great view, and you get to meet a lot of nice college students, since it is located near the University of South Florida. I recommend seeing it, as... More

Since I live in Tampa I frequently visit this park. It is $2 per car to enter. There are lots of wildlife to see as well as trails to walk and or ride a bike and a boardwalk system that is beautiful. There are two playground areas for kids; one is a big area (that gets very crowded especially in... More

A very nice nature park with plenty of options for the family. Enjoy Hillsborough County's wildlife and exotic river. Easy access to I-75 & I-4

This park was near our house when we lived in Wesley Chapel, and though we have moved far south, I would return here for the well-groomed paths and quiet feeling of being one with nature. There are animals here and there, but on the whole it is well maintained and a safe place to take children for a beginner's nature... More

We enjoyed walking the boardwalks and watching the cranes and wildlife around us. The alligators were hibernating.

I had been before in the summer and did not stay long because of the mosquitoes! So now it was cool and a bit breezy and I figured it would be better to go now. It was better, but still lot's of "skeeters"! Mainly if you need to use a restroom, they will attack you in there! But if you... More

Very pretty Tampa park. Good bike paths, scenic overlooks. Admission fee of $2. Local restaurants nearby. Good place to take a walk or exercise.
