The streets are very rough and desperately need to be replaced. Every year they come out and patch holes, but it leaves the streets rough. They should replace the whole streets not just fill in a hole.

I've lived in South Tampa for 7 years, and South West Shore Blvd. is a great combination of lovely homes and 5-minute access to most any shopping, restaurant, or waterfront view. Just 10 minutes from the airport or downtown, too. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

South Tampa boasts families who have been in Tampa for several generations mixed in with new comers. The New Leaf Produce market on Westshore Blvd offers fresh, local produce and Cuban bread. Dining is exceptional and encompasses a variety of international options, chains, and fast food. Bayshore Boulevard is the best place to bike, run, or walk--even though one must... More

South Tampa is the epicenter of Tampa. Tree lined oak filled neighborhoods with sidewalks abound here. What's best about this place is the eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and shops. You will find ground zero to be at Howard and Swann, that's pretty much the heart of the place and you are not to far from the longest sidewalk (continuous... More

Trendy and fun always, but beware when it rains. Dale Mabry backs up and the further south you go, you could be underwater.

Hyde park is neat. So is Gandy bridge area. Go to harbor island and channel side. Take the trolley and see Ybor city before 9pm. The place gets crazy!

Very diverse part of town, with Tampa Bay, Bayshore Dr (with million dollar homes), great variety of restaurants from the upscale Bern's Steakhouse, to the Green Lemon Mexican restaurant and every type of food, drink, bar and shopping. Very nice place to hang out.

Went with a bunch of HS buddies. Found this area to have everything we needed. Great bars on S. Howard, shopping in Hyde Park, walking along Bayshore Blvd.....I think I might move there!

I love the SOHO area, and the South Tampa area in general. Close to Bayshore Boulevard for walking, running, skating, bicycling, exercising - fabulous restaurants everywhere you look, and some great nightlife too - something for everyone and every taste
