Plenty of restaurants, shops and stores to walk around and enjoy even if you just go for the exercise to take a real long walk in a place where it is inside and safe. Enjoy as part of international plaza you may park free in a covered garage and wonder around for miles of walking.

I guess this is the closest to the Corniche in Beirut. A great place to walk or exercise by the water, and enjoy the scenery and the people around. It is nicest though in the fall and spring time.

Stay away during Gasparilla which is in February - it's crazy times and parking is a nightmare. Longest contiguous sidewalk in America (I think)

It is great to bike on Bayshore Boulevard. The views of downtown Tampa are incredible, especially at night. It is a very peaceful area, with beautiful (and very expensive) houses, overlooking the bay. Great to walk, run, or bike.

Tampa's Bayshore Boulevard remains one of the outstanding scenic waterfront drives - anywhere. As it curves along Hillsborough Bay, it affords wonderful opportunities to view the Bay in its various states: calm, rough and wavy, tranquil, sometimes turbulent - but always scenic. Bayshore Blvd. makes Chicago's Lake Shore Drive (which I am also fond of, having lived in Chicago for... More

A lovely bike ride on the bay front. We saw several dolphins and watched as a cruise ship left port. A great view of the downtown skyline across the bay. We started at Ballast Point Park at the south end and rode it to downtown and then back. The park had a little restaurant right next to the pier as... More

If you have the time as parking was easy, have a walk along the boulevard. Really enjoyed it and the views were great.

I believe the total uninterrupted length is 7 miles or so all of which is running along Tampa Bay. Great place to ride bike, walk or run.
