Don't miss this jewel of restored homes from the early 1900's. Several blocks of beautiful and varying styles of homes and gardens. Nice splash pad fountain at the central park in the area. Free parking, enjoyable walk, plenty of shade to stay cool. We enjoyed it as much as a botanical garden.

Lived in Tampa for 20 yrs. Hyde Park is a great afternoon/evening getaway. You park the car and walk everywhere. Great boutiques..great bistro's and very charming. Concerts in the summer and carriage rides at Christmas. Look up its event calendar before going…helps to pick the right time and day you'd like to go.

This is a neighborhood made for walking - if you like Craftsman style homes, this is the place to see many. My niece lives locally and suggested we visit. We spent more than an hour wandering the streets after the Chalk Walk festival. We ended up at Bayshore Blvd. There are beautiful gardens and friendly residents too.

This is a nice place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon especially during the cooler months, shops are nice and it's carefree. A great place to stop in for a glass of wine a bite of food then take in a movie, everything is within walking distance. We go often. Absolutely wonderful at Christmas time!

Been here a couple of times and it's a great place to visit even if it's for a sunday walk. A lot of shops and restaurants. Nice architecture and nice lights at night.

I love this shopping center in a quaint area with some old and new buildings. Filled with great shopping places like Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Restoration Hardware this is a great place to go for housewares shopping. Stop in Wine Exchange for a glass of wine and appetizer amongst the stores and enjoy!

If you talk to any of the local residents, quaint is always used first to describe Hyde Park. When the economy crashed, it was hard to keep businesses in the area. But over the last year, quite a few new boutiques/businesses have opened. Sometimes, there's free music in the "park"..or an art show. The first Sunday of every month, there's... More

Of course I like it because I live here - but you may like it too. The neighborhood was established in the 1920s and has been preserved to a great extent. It is on the national historic register and the predominant architecture is American Bungalow style - similar to great northern neighborhoods of the same era. In the center of... More

Many unique things to do. Make your own stain glass soap at Milagros, paint your own pottery at the art studio, eat delicious casual and fine food at various restaurants, visit the near by park if you have kids. Visit Cine Bistro where you actually get served dinner while watching your movie in a leather reclining seat.

For some reason, Hyde Park always reminds me a little bit of Amsterdam. It's always so tranquil and inviting. Great place for a stroll after lunch or to bring a book and read.
