Big Cat Rescue is a wonderful place to visit, all the cats are well cared for, have wonderfully big enclosures, the feeding tour is a great way to see the cats up and at least semi active (Florida heat can put anyone to sleep), as dinner time is always look forward to by the cats. Big Cat Rescue puts a... More

August 28, 2014 I have been to Big Cat Rescue twice and both times were wonderful! I will never forget the experience. I am thankful to BCR for the opportunity to see such beautiful animals up close, as well as to participate in enrichment activities and operant conditioning activities. It was really something to see all these animals, whom I... More

This is a excellent accredited big cat sanctuary that my sister and I have supported for several years. My sister was dying to visit, so we arranged an extended weekend with several tours over a period of several days. We did a standard day tour, night tour, feeding tour and keeper tour. Because this is a sanctuary and the cats... More

I visited BCR years ago when it was known as wild cats on easy street. The park and tours are fantastic, their staff and volunteers well informed and share their love for their work. I was most impressed with the large living areas each cat has, which they call "Cat-a-tats." The amount of vegetation in these cat-a-tats reminds one of... More

I've donated for almost 10 years now and have visited four times and am astounded with the service they provide to abused and neglected big cats. These aren't big cats that you can pay to pet. These are big cats thrown away by greedy people who pretend they care about the animals but use them for personal profit then abuse... More

A family friendly way to experience big cats with a clear message about how unsuitable these animals are for personal ownership. BCR facility is clean and well-staffed and animals appear to be In excellent health. All exhibited animals have been rescued from abusive situations. I have followed the work of this organization for years and they are active in legislation... More

My family went on the afternoon tour and it was hot, and our tour guide was rushed and not knowledgeable. For the price I was expecting more, and was disappointed. The cats were sleeping and we really unable to see many of them. I would rather gone to a zoo. They are also to political for my taste also.

I loved it! It is a very special place to visit. I invited some European friends for a visit there and they were very excited. Congratulations for the Big Cat Rescue staff.

I was hoping for an AWESOME experience better than the zoo. We spent 1/2 hour in a gift shop because we were told to arrive 1/2 hour early. The guides stutter through their information, lots of "ummmmm" "whoops, I started the wrong audio..." While they are volunteers, they need more practice and polish. The cats were either sleeping, hiding, or... More

The cats are really well-cared for, and the keepers are very knowledgeable and interested in the cats' wellbeing. I did the Keeper Tour. You start by making "enrichment" (paper bags with spices in them and raw meat wrapped in paper) for the cats. Then you tour the sanctuary. There's no touching or feeding the cats. You just look at them... More
