Such a nice place to see how humanely they treat the animals that found their way into people's homes until they became unmanageable. They are all treated with respect and beautiful to see them,

Great place for big cats in need of a place to live or finish their life. Family oriented, big cat offers a door to something different than TV. Try it !

Seeing these majestic animals is so exciting. What you learn is amazing. The tour guides, who dearly love these animals give you details about why each one was rescued. It makes for a marvelous day in a beautiful setting. Be prepared to learn that these animals do not make good pets!

My family was in Orlando for vacation at the end of March, and we decided to visit Big Cat Rescue in Tampa one Sunday. I had looked at the website thoroughly, and knew we would only be able to go on the Family Tour due to the ages of our children (5 and almost 2). I bought our tickets in... More

This is a great place for rescued animals, but visitors really can't get very close to the animals (for safety). Also, cats sleep a lot during the day, so many were hiding in their caves. The guide on the tour uses a microphone and transmits to ear phones which are provided to each guest. This is a great way to... More

This was a remarkedly informative entertaining experience. First comes the comfort of the rescued cats and then the tourist. No children under ten. The guides are very knowledgeable. The paths are not paved and does involve walking for an hour to ninety minutes. Advanced reservations are requested. There are golf carts available for the tourists unable to walk the distance.... Looking for something to do on a gray day while staying in St. Pete's Beach, we stumbled on this absolute gem. Incredible variety of gorgeous big cats, and most importantly they were well cared for. This was no roadside attraction - they are advocates, rescuers and educators. We were entirely unprepared for the visceral reaction we felt when a lion... More

We took the 3:00 tour. The place was very organized from the beginning. We were directed to a parking spot and told where to go from there. The gift shop was nice. We were given an introductory talk with rules. We each then received an electronic guide audio device. Yes, all of the ear phones were new and we took... More

Took a morning (regular) tour on a fairly cool & cloudy day (huge bonus because the cats were all pretty much awake). We got to see many of the cats (including the lions & tigers) and most looked pretty excited to have visitors. The tour guide was knowledgeable and it was a good mix between her giving us more in...
