I had a fabulous time looking at the big cats. They have great guides that explain the purpose of their rescue and instructing the public that animals are sensitive and deserve a good life. I refuse to go to zoos any longer and I have also scratched out Seaworld from the places to visit. I will never visit any zoos... More

Our family (sons 19 & 24 yr) chose this activity because of its high rating on Tripadvisor, but none of us found it that enjoyable. The cats have endured hard, neglectful lives and are being well cared for, but they did not seem happy. Many seemed to have hip and balance problems (we were told due to unhealthy declawing by... We were fortunate to meet the folks responsible for developing Big Cat Rescue and to receive a tour of the grounds. The work they do is outstanding and it was heartwarming to see the environment they provide to animals that had been abused, in many cases. It is clear that the cats are lovingly cared for.

After seeing tons of videos online from them tearing up pumpkins & catnip I was so excited to see the big cats at Big Cat Rescue. My husband & I went on our anniversary weekend to see these giant cats. As per other reviews we had headsets. I wore mine while my husband didn't. I did enjoy hearing their back... More

Great staff, wonderful cats, and the tours do a great job of explaining each cats unique story. AND, this is a true sanctuary, not a zoo or for-profit (I did my research). Well maintained enclosures for the cats. Highly recommend as a unique experience for friends or family with older kids. No very young children allowed (lunch for the big... More

The Big Cat Rescue is truly committed to doing what is best for their cats and educating the public. The tours are always very fun and informative. I always request a visit on my birthday. I go several times a year with my hubby.

Great place with friendly staff. Educational tour that displayed most of the cats. Highly recommended even for children, just be sure to follow your tour guide's directions.

Our tour was only 1 hour long due to a rain shower, the guide took us back to the gift shop. They seemed more interested in selling souvenirs than anything else. The guide walked our group around the compound, explaining how each animal came to live there, although all the animals were simply laying around due to the time of... More

We are a couple and visit BCR every time we are on vacation. This tour has changed over the years, there are a lot more people on each tour and headsets are used so you can hear the guide. Even with the number of people it has always been quite a personal tour and a lot of interaction with the... More

Thank you for your input on the tours and for being a repeat visitor. We have over the ear headsets for anyone who lets us know that they wear hearing aids and cannot use the typical ear bud. Be sure to ask for that type when you visit. As for the range on the transmitter to the head sets; it... More
