Had an all day experience here, where we got to meet and feed the animals. They do really good job here, and it's well worth a visit. I would reccomend the guided all day tour though where you get more of an insight of the animals, and you get to be close up to tigers, lions and other cat animals!

The Big Cat Rescue is an incredible organization... Giving a voice to those who don't have their own. Such a great experience... The volunteers and guides are there because they truly care for these cats... Caring for them and educating others about them! With 100% of the proceeds going towards the care for the cats, we will DEF be back!... More

The experience to see these recovering and rehabilitated big cats is wonderful and one feels sorry for them. The price of admission ($36) might seem steep for the experience - guided tour - but think of it as a donation and don't think twice. There is an early AM feeding that you can experience but we were too late for... More

The BCR in Tampa is definitely a must see.unlike so called "Roadside Zoos", who trnd to exploit and abuse animals, they are a sanctuary, allowing the Cats freedom from cages, abuse, while affording the animals with a more natural habitat, with access to enrichment activities as well as veterinary care, compassion and respect.

Date Visited: Saturday, July 11, 2015 Pros: Almost Everything Cons: Earbuds First of all, let me respond to a previous review. Yes, these cats are in large enclosures similar to a zoo. But they are in a natural habitat with grass and trees, they are given enrichment, AND they all get a chance to be in the "vacation rotation" where... More

This is a cat sanctuary for large cats that were in unfortunate circumstances. Glimpses of their stories hang on small signs on their containers; "owner killed by a lion", "kept in NY basement for 14 years", "seized in drug raid", etc... While they are in large cages, they do have it much better than where they were. Many of these... More

Cats are in cages. It's like a cats zoo. They can't climb the trees they can't run they only can walk in the cage back and forth. But if the donation and purchasing tickets make their life better I'm happy I went there and saw them. They are adorable quite nice and beautiful.

We booked the 3 pm tour & enjoyed the tour guide volunteer. However, the during the tour...we did not see many cats. As you know, they do like to sleep during the day...so don't expect to see much activity.

Staff love their jobs and make it a lot of fun for everyone. You will be able to see a large variety of cats up close! Tip: go in the Fall or winter. Summer is TOO hot!
