Third visit in about ten years. Great eco-friendly facility that teaches everyone about the plight of big cats. Comfortable 90 minute tour walking thru the grounds seeing cats in sizeable enclosures living as close to nature intended.

I would rate the place with 5, but I would rate staff with 2. I liked how the animals looked treated and how the place was maintained. The cages are big and nice, animal seemed in good condition and well treated. The staff for tours are youngsters, our guide was an English young girl. They don't let you step or... More

Loved the cats and even on a hot afternoon they were quite active and some came right up to the edge of the cage to see us. I found it to be a little depressing hearing all the stories of the cats. I wished they would focus more on how they are being successful in their current lives. Like how... More

Last week we had visitors from New England in town. While the guys had a golf day, my girlfriend and I trekked to Tampa to visit Big Cat Rescue. We both enjoy wildlife and there's nothing wilder than big cats. While the cost of admission was high ($36), it was worth every penny. The tour is about 90 minutes long,... More

Went on Saturday kid tour. Entrance experience is very weird, kind of make you linger in gift shop. Tour length (60 minutes) is just right for kid with short attention span. Didn't see all cats, but saw lots. Staff was nice, but definitely has strong opinions on topics they push at guests. A little pricey, but kept tour group to... More

We went on the Only tour we could be accommodated in - Saturday 12 Noon Tour. That is the Only Tour that permits Kids below 10 on the tour. My son is almost 4 years old and is a fanatical animal lover. He and all of us loved our experience here. It is a fairly big group - about 20... More

Not for "Animal World or Sea Kingdom" tourists, this is the real deal, for cat lovers and rescue advocates. Highest ethical standards! A+

I am in middle of the road on this place. I gave it an above average due to the fact they take in abused animals and provide them with a safe clean environment however, I found the tour to be extremely expensive. In addition, one of the tour guides seemed so controlling it felt uncomfortable while being escorted on the... More

We liked the concept but there were multiple house cats roaming around with no tags. Not a good example of protecting native wildlife for sure while they are protecting exotic species. We wont' be back. Not comfortable with the whole set up.

I was super excited about going to BCR. Someone recommended it to me and I just fell in love. I want to go EVERY time we got to Tampa now. I am a huge animal lover, especially big cats, and it was great to see them happy and healthy. Worth the time and cost! MUST SEE!
