We have been to the Tampa Zoo several times over the years. It is really good for younger children; I would say 10 or under. The zoo is divided into several smaller areas that spoke out of the central hub. There is a nice collection of animals, though as some reviewers have mentioned the enclosures while well designed are on... More

We went to see the manatees, but we came away thinking this was the best zoo. It is decorated and has rides for young kids like a theme park. The zoo isn't too large for young kids to walk. There is plenty of shade and water rides/sprinkler park too. Rides are included in the price. Coupons can be found in... More

As two adults, it seemed we were in and out rather quickly. The zoo is sectioned off into different parts, so it feels bigger than it is. There wasn't much to see.The enclosures seemed too small for most of the animals and it was sad. Some parts are run down (insect room and aquarium area for sure)and need updating. Lots of... More

Go! Its awesome. Don't plan to eat there - way to expensive. Walk Africa & skip the tram - not worth the wait and the animals are better viewed by walking. Plan for getting wet, especially the kids.

They had an outstanding tiger exhibit. They were splashing in the water on the day of our visit. With our AZA local zoo membership we were able to visit for half off. Daughter loved the little coaster and log ride, nice those items were included in admission.

I think the last time I visited a zoo with my kids was when they were all 7 or under. So - thanks to living social, and some bored teenagers I found myself at Lowry park zoo today. Thanks to the living social offer we got tickets at about half price. It was worth every penny of the full price!... More

As seniors, we thought about going to Busch Garden, but decided to see Lowry Park Zoo. It was just perfect for us as we weren't into rides or wanting to walk to all the attractions. The best time to see the various animals is in the morning for by noon time the animals were hiding in the shade. They were... More

Being a Tampa native, I've seen our zoo (Lowry Park) grow into the showpiece it is today. Not only does it have state-of-the-art facilities for all of the animals within the park but it also has something for every member of the family. I recently spent 3 separate mornings there with my 19 month old grandson and then returned this... More

Went to the zoo this past weekend with the family. As always, free parking at the zoo. Park is kept up well and employees are friendly. Best deal is to get a yearly pass and then in Sept you get free admission to MOSI and The Florida Aquarium. My only complaint would be that their food and snack prices have... More
