Recognized as the #1 Zoo in the U.S. by Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004), Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo features more than 1,000 amazing animals on nearly 60 acres of natural habitats. Guests will find many interactive exhibits and opportunities to get closer to wildlife -- feed a giraffe, hold a lorikeet, touch a stingray and more. The Zoo's Manatee and Aquatic Center expands the traditional boundaries of a zoo, focusing efforts on critical care for injured, sick and orphaned wild manatees. Also at the zoo: splash ground water play areas, wild rides, educational shows and restaurants. Zoo daytime admission prices are: adults - $27.95; seniors (60+) - $25.95; children (ages 3-11) - $20.95; and children 2 and under are free. Daytime admission includes unlimited amusement rides. Parking is free.

The zoo is well layed out, Lots of animals, Family friendly, and well maintained. You have too see the white tigers, Komodo dragon, & Okapi's. Lots of animal interactions with elephants, camels, rino's, giraffe, and penguins (feeding times for some of these animals are only on certain days). They have rides that are kid friendly ages 1 year to about... More

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - While visiting the zoo from out of town earlier this week with my 85 year-old Mother-in-law and family of 7 she began having pain and I needed to rent a wheelchair. When I found the wheelchair and stroller rental office it was closed with a sign directing me to a nearby gift shop. When I reached... More

I can't think of anything bad to say about this zoo. It was clean and not crowded. There were lots of varieties of animals. We enjoyed several interactive areas and the birds of prey show. Lunch was good as well. I highly recommend this zoo.

I mean it's great for everyone, but this is the most stroller/toddler friendly attraction I have ever been to. The year pass is so worth it if you are local. We must have gone 20 times one year. Now, I credit Lowry Park Zoo with my daughter's continuing love for animals.

We went to see the lights on a groupon special. the lights were spectacular. I would definitely do this again, just not on the last night of the lights. No parking and it was very crowed.

Great place for the entire family to have fun and connect. We bought the city pass and got to explore the entire city.

Such a fun zoo. We live in Los Angeles but my husband is from Tampa so we always bought a year pass so we could go to the zoo whenever we visited family. Love, love, love seeing the Manatees. It's a smaller zoo but it is just wonderful. Don't miss it.

We live locally so I took my kids on a Tuesday in July. Not at all busy! Kids were able to ride the ries numerous times in a row. It was hot (it's summer n FL so that's to be expected) but they really enjoyed it all. Giraffe feeding experience is $5 and worth it. There is an indoor resteraunt... More

Lowry Zoo Park is a great attraction to visit while in Tamp or anywhere close. It will give a taste of what a real Safari will be like if you have to travel to Africa mile away so when you come to Tampa this the place to visit with family and have a great day at the zoo.
