Recognized as the #1 Zoo in the U.S. by Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004), Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo features more than 1,000 amazing animals on nearly 60 acres of natural habitats. Guests will find many interactive exhibits and opportunities to get closer to wildlife -- feed a giraffe, hold a lorikeet, touch a stingray and more. The Zoo's Manatee and Aquatic Center expands the traditional boundaries of a zoo, focusing efforts on critical care for injured, sick and orphaned wild manatees. Also at the zoo: splash ground water play areas, wild rides, educational shows and restaurants.

Zoo daytime admission prices are: adults - $27.95; seniors (60+) - $25.95; children (ages 3-11) - $20.95; and children 2 and under are free. Daytime admission includes unlimited amusement rides. Parking is free.

Great place for kids.

Took our grandkids here. They are 4 and 5. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and have now purchased a season pass. We can't wait to go back.

It is a little pricey for admission, but if we were residents they had a nice yearly package for the daily price. We've been to many zoos, but this one had animals that we had never seen at other zoos. Our 4 yr old son loved the sting ray touch tank, and the manatees!

This zoo is great! So many beautiful animals everywhere! They have a great ride through the park, great fun walking through the park with kids and even on a date. This place is very interactive. They have giraffe's you can feed and a huge elephant inclosure. Birds are beautiful and employees are super friendly. This place has amazing rides and... More

We loved the Lowry Zoo so much, we bought annual passes! Our family went a few weeks ago and with five adults and two toddlers, it's tough to keep everyone happy...but Lowry did just that! It was a cold January day and we can't wait to come back when it's warmer. Even so, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I have been an annual member for many years and never fail to find something new - the place is clean and the animals in humane conditions - the manatees alone are worth the visit

The zoo itself is great! Lots of animals, zoo is clean and friendly staff. The downside is we went end of January and all the rides were closed. Kids were bummed. The other downside is the zoo is in a rough area and in some parts of the zoo you can see through the brush covered fencing to the housing... More

It was a busy day because the local school was there on a field trip. I felt like because we weren't part of the field trip we got cut off a lot. Not sure I would rush to go back to a place that doesn't take great care of paying customers but the last time we went it was much... More

Lowry Park is a zoo that you'd be hard pressed to do in one day. It's lay out makes for easy navigation through the exhibits and children's rides. Some pathways will lead you to close proximity of animals, and most are shaded and easy to walk. Some exhibits are interactive; others feature interesting and educational talks. What impressed me is... More

When my husband and I visited Tampa from Chicago, we got a city pass and went to the Zoo, Busch Gardens , and the Aquarium. The Zoo was very nice but the food was pricey
