I had visited this zoo 20 years ago and was suprised at the upgrade that had been done to it. It is wonderful for children and adults of all ages. The animals living areas are clean and the animals appear to be taken good care of. Well worth a visit if you are in the Tampa area.

The zoo cost $25 per person but there are coupons available. Good little zoo with all the cool animals.

It was a great day out - and part of our Tampa City Pass.... We had a full day here, there was loads to do with plenty of animals and information to keep the kids (and our!) attention. So many times we have been to places like this where you get stung for eating a 'proper' meal but I have... More

We went to this zoo based on the high reviews.. but wow… Most of the attraction were closed. Not many animals.. lots of birds.. the zoo itself looks very nice but you can tell that is going bankrupt or something.. it has a lot of potential but for $25 I would expect a lot nicer zoo.. At least with more... More

I really enjoy zoos but too often I go to find that you cannot see the animals or they are napping etc. That was not the case here - there were plenty of different kinds of animals and most were active and, most important, visible as we walked through here in the late afternoon. I also liked that they had... More

I had visited the Lowry Park Zoo about 10 years ago and revisited it this week. I do not remember much of the zoo from my first visit but was totally impressed this time. To start with the cleanliness of the zoo as I did not see once piece of paper anywhere on the grounds. As it had rained earlier... More

Nice zoo but admission was high, compared to other zoo's across the country. The July heat made it pretty uncomfortable. Recommend going in the fall or spring months.

I have visited many zoos in my time and I must say Lowry Park is unique. THis is a Zoo/Amusement Park. While we visited on a typical Florida summer day---hot and humid and a bit of rain--- the kids kept cool with period visits to the spray fountain areas. They also very much enjoyed the Gator Ride with its water... More

Since moving to FL in 2007 I have been to this zoo several times. There is always something new to see. They have a spray park for the hot summer days, good food and animals from all over the world. I love the giraffes, rhinos and mostly the monkeys. You can see birds, snakes and even penguins. Its easy to... More

The day started out with a little rain and no power but in no time at all everything was back on . We enjoyed our coffee which was Starbucks ya Starbucks at the zoo. We loved the Orangutans they were so much fun to watch! We loved the whole park over clean, staff was friendly, and bathrooms were clean. My daughter... More
