Recognized as the #1 Zoo in the U.S. by Parents magazine (2009) and Child magazine (2004), Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo features more than 1,000 amazing animals on nearly 60 acres of natural habitats. Guests will find many interactive exhibits and opportunities to get closer to wildlife -- feed a giraffe, hold a lorikeet, touch a stingray and more. The Zoo's Manatee and Aquatic Center expands the traditional boundaries of a zoo, focusing efforts on critical care for injured, sick and orphaned wild manatees. Also at the zoo: splash ground water play areas, wild rides, educational shows and restaurants. Zoo daytime admission prices are: adults - $27.95; seniors (60+) - $25.95; children (ages 3-11) - $20.95; and children 2 and under are free. Daytime admission includes unlimited amusement rides. Parking is free.

Zoo was hugely creative as it brought a chinese light exhibit to the zoo. Partnering with Groupon, it was 1/2 price and had I known, I'd have gladly paid full fare. Zoo itself is well maintianed and clean. Food was pretty good considering. It was a hot night and so lots of ice cream to be had. Zoo is well... More

We love going here. We make sure to take as many people as we can and have a blast. They have a great selection of animals and a train tram. I love the Giraffes and a lot of other animals like the Elephants. You can't go wrong spending a great day here. Very fun and kids love it.

My Mom and I, along with my 5 month old daughter visited this attraction today. We had a fabulous time and would recommend the zoo to anyone visiting Florida. We enjoyed the opportunity to interact first hand with a variety of animals (Tortoises, giraffes, sting rays). The zoo was incredibly clean and the animals appeared to be well cared for... More

Spent an awesome Wednesday afternoon at the Zoo! Great exhibits and a wonderful animal collection! I only have one criticism and that is there are parts of the zoo that do need some aesthetic upgrades! Otherwise a great experience and one, if in Tampa, you don't want to miss!

Nice zoo with a bunch of animals. Was kind of overcast so the animals were not that active but it was neat to still see everything

We visited the zoo as part of the attractions we could access using the CityPASS Tampa. It was a great visit. The park is a nice urban oasis and the animal experiences are good. You can feed a giraffe, rays and lorikeets, for example. The small childrens' section was nice for our youngest, but the older child was bored -... More

My mom and two sons went with me to this zoo during the school holidays. I was a little out off because I thought it was a bit expensive. We had military discount so that helped a bit. We really liked how it seemed to be more intimate than bigger zoos. The kangaroo exhibit was so fun since they were... More

I hesitated to write this but decided to because of the rave reviews that children's magazines have given this park and because of the price of admission they charge($27.95 for adult, $20.95 for children ages 3-11). I feel the upkeep of this park should have been much better. Things like having electric fans in lines is a must for a... More

Exhibits were well laid out for the animals, and the grounds were very pretty. It covers a small area so it is easy to do the whole thing in just a few hours.
