Beautifully kept with lots to see and do. Visit when it's not too hot out because there is a lot of walking. They have a nice cafe to grab a bite while taking a break. Not too expensive to take the kids.

We had a great time at Lowry Park. Awesome zoo, great animals and features. Florida Teachers can visit free. Excellent place for the whole family.
While the zoo is not large by San Diego or San Antonio standards, it is nice. There are very few cages and most animals are in a natural habitat. I went with adult kids and grand kids and one teenager and we really enjoyed it. We used Living Social and got a great deal on tickets.
This is a good zoo but not an elite one. It does have some things that a typical zoo doesn't have which gives it a small bump in my rating. If I had paid full price for my visit I would not have been satisfied. The cost is $25 for adults, $20 for children 3-11 and children under 3 are...

Big fun zoo better than Connecticut and Rhode Island zoos. A lot of kid activities. The sad thing is when we got there in afternoon many animals were sleeping that happens though.
Great little Zoo. Loved how it was set up and enjoyed our visit there. They have a nice variety of animals. Animals looked well taken care of and staff was around to answer your questions. Nice place.
Very nice for families with young children. Lots of activities for kids to enjoy. During the summer they have water parks and places where kids can get wet and have fun, bring their bathing suits and water shoes.
I grew up with a really big zoo and have visited plenty of large zoos in different cities, so I thought I would be disappointed with Tampa's. While not as big as some zoos, Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is perfect for kids.
Unlike big zoos there is not a lot of walking. While not having every single animal imaginable, there...

It was a little confusing to navigate. Felt like we had to do some backtracking to see everything. My daughter didn't like one of the tunnels where the manatees were and there wasn't any way to get around that to get to the stuff on the other side really. We liked how animals were mixed together. The zebras, giraffes, and...

We spent a whole day here in April. The initial event was the flight of the birds along the main path; a very entertaining sight. The Manatees were fascinating; being able to view them from above and below provides an insight into their lives. The huge black bear Sam decided to make an appearance whilst we were there and came...
