When I was little, this was a tiny park and even had 'sky King's airplane", I have watched it grow into a wonderful zoo. I took my daughters there and have even been able to take my grandchildren. My dad used to go there often, even after I was grown up..Don't miss this treat. more

This zoo is small in size, but large in value and experience. Parking is free. Admission prices are reasonable and often coupon discounts are available. I like that the rides are a la carte from admission, because we (with toddlers) don't use. Though my kids love the jungle-themed carousel. The zoo has the usual animals that the kids know: giraffes,... more

I really enjoyed the Lowry Park Zoo and would go again. The Manatee Encounter was my favorite attraction. I really enjoyed the presentation of the overall zoo. However, they charge extras to ride the 4 rides that have at the zoo. I understand charging something extra, but most rides cost 4 tokes at $1 a token. Also, I didnt think... more

As someone who has toured a lot of Zoo here in the south, I found this Zoo to be a very good value for the money. I would encourage anyone who would like to save at least 50 % off zoo admission to join and become a member of your local zoo or even Tampa. It is a steal of... more

Great zoo! Lots to see, even if you don't buy the attraction ride tickets also available. Well organized and plenty of animals! I liked San Diego Zoo, but very overwhelming. I actually liked this zoo better! Manatees are so cute and were busy eating their greens. They have a few shows available. Pretty zoo, we really enjoyed it! I was... more

Ok, let's just start with my major gripe! The ticket price at the door was close to $20 (they only offer AAA discounts if you buy tix at AAA before coming). Had the $20 covered most of the cool things in the park, $20 would have been reasonable, but it didn't. By the end of the day, I had doubled... more

I really didn't expect to enjoy the zoo, but this place was wonderful. It was the most cost effective thing we did on our vacation. The place is exceptionally clean and well laid out. You have to feed the animals, it was fun to feed the giraffes and the Lorakeets. more

We have been to many major city zoos and my son still enjoys this one the best and I understand why. Lots of great animals (babies a great deal of the time) in easy to view exhibits. Lots of shady areas, great variety of animals, water spouts, rides, animal interations. My son NEVER misses feeding the giraffe 3 crackers for... more

this was a nice zoo, but i dont understand the rating of best zoo from child magazine...there seemed to be a strange flow to the zoo where you had to keep walking in and out of attractions to end up back in the center...it was also very expensive!! then after you pay admission all the rides cost a lot (either... more
