We all had a great time at the zoo. We have a Chattanooga zoo membership for $45 per year, but it got us into the Lowry Park zoo for free through the reciprocating zoo membership program. Lowry Park Zoo is in Tampa which is about an hours drive from Orlando but worth the journeyt! The exhibits are attractively laid out with leafy, shady boardwalks around the enclosures and a welcome set of play fountains at the entrance to cool off in! Lowry Park is a moderately large zoo with nice exhibits, kids area with water (cool off in summer!), and a McD's and more for lunch. Or, bring a picnic and eat in the surrounding lovely park. Across from the zoo is the river side with shade, creeks, springs (not for swimming), and boardwalk. At least a good half day! more
