I was in Tampa for a conference and Ybor City was a short trolley ride from the hotel. We jumped on and headed for dinner at the Columbia (great by the way). The area is a little shady, reminded me of any other downtown urban area. I recommend it as the architecture and vibe are great, but be aware of... More

We enjoy our visit, specially after visiting the Saturday Market, the Ybor City Museum, and take the Cigar Industry History Tour. We learned a lot about the cigar industry influence in the development of the area. Also we enjoy the diversity of restaurants and shops. Finally we took a street car ride which we enjoy. A place to visit with... More

Really good restaurants, a ton of history, great place to see concerts, and great movie theater with alcohol beverages.

Not much to say, seedy and not very clean. Much nicer places in Tampa area, or drive to Clearwater for a better dinner and atmosphere.

Ybor City during the day reminds me of an old location that was once alive at one time, but I hear from many that it is very alive during the night. Back in my college years, my friends used to go there just for the night life. I was never interested in that but now that I am older and... More

I love club hoping in Ybor City. It's fun, it's festive, and you have many options of clubs & food along the way. I got exactly the experience I had hoped for. As far as the rumors of it being dangerous. If you keep to yourself and not bother others there are no worries! Super fun and I'll for sure... More

Wow… It is hard to imagine… All of the hand made cigar places on one street… Followed by all of the bars and nightclubs that you can imagine… it is a near 50-50 ratio! There are tons of things to see – during the day it is very quiet – at night it is like being stuck in the Mardi... More

Ybor City is a cultural and historic district in Tampa that was settled first by Cuban immigrants rolling cigars. It is full of interesting shops and restaurants and at night, the district feels alive and active like few other places in the surrounding area. It's a short Trolley ride away from most of the hotels in the area, so if... More
