My wife and I are new to Tampa and went there for the day before Labor Day to tour, ride the boat, and take in the fireworks. We enjoyed it, and it looks like a really great venue for kids. Two complaints. First, they told us food would be available on the boat so we skipped dinner. what was available... More

We have been to this aquarium twice since living in the Tampa Bay area and enjoyed it both times. The exhibits are great for the young ones, but not so interesting if you have been to other aquariums across the nation. It's small in size and takes only a few hours to walk through. Both times the boat tour was... More

I've had out of state friends comment that our aquarium is kind of puny for this being Florida and they are not wrong. Everything in the aquarium is nice and the kids play area outside is great but it is a little underwhelming for a Florida attraction. For the price you pay for tickets, I expected something...more. The tickets are... More

Every September is 'Swaptember" where members of other museums (see their website for information) can get in for free! You still have to pay for parking ($6) but it's no big deal as there are a few other things to do within walking distance of the aquarium once you pay. There is a cute little trolley for about $2 that... More

I should probably preference this by saying that we live in California which has some excellent aquariums such as the one in Monterey and also we went to one of the best we have ever seen in Australia. So, for us, this didn't really have much in comparison and was pretty small in size.

I came to this aquarium a few years back and it was absolutely breath taking! I could have spent all week there! Brought my family here earlier this year and was less than impressed. Lucky for me however, it isn't difficult to impress a 2 and 4 year old. The whole walk through took us about 2 hours where as... More

There are many different things to see here. And since it is a Florida attraction, they do have many of the Florida fauna to enjoy. But I can't help feeling that something is missing whenever I go there. I am not sure what it is, but that's how I feel.

This was my first aquarium visit I've ever been to. Based on other reviews, I expected it to be everything I've hoped for in an aquarium. Yes, there were sharks and big stingrays and cool fish, but I expected more. The sharks were smaller sharks, and the only way to see dolphins is to go on one of their cruises... More
