The Florida Aquarium is a wonderful aquarium with many exciting things to do and see. Make sure you do the behind the scenes tours and the dolphin cruise on the Bay Spirit II. Arrive by 9:30/9:45 am and head to the Wetlands exhibit to catch the River Otter performance at 10 am. And don't miss the Leafy Sea Dragon exhibit... More

Went for one of their Thursday Summer night special (sorry it ended in mid August). The place was fantastic and well worth the special admission price ($15).

We really had a great time here. They have alot of little things that are so unique which make it so special. Plus they just opened the lemur exhibit on the roof which is pretty cool! Totally worth the money but look for a promo code which makes the kids free! :) The water park is really nice too!

We went on one of the half price days but it is affordable any time. At certain times divers enter the big tank to entertain the kids and the kids in us adults. There are just about every sea creature you can imagine and some you have to see to believe. The displays are beautiful for the most part and... More

Visiting the Tampa area from the UK...we have a very good aquarium close to home and whilst there was some difference to what was on offer, I still think they could have done it better. Although we too have small children there was like a million kids there from local schools/pre schools. Whilst children learning about the bigger world is... More

The best part about this aquarium isn't that it comes with fish. It has a huge splash pad in the back that kids just eat up. You'll probably spend 1-2 hours just at the splash pad alone. It's worth going just for the kids.

My family really enjoyed this aquarium, it looks very nice and very well taken care of. Would definitely recommend if you have younger kids.

My wife and I took a few hours to tour the Florida Aquarium and weren't disappointed, but weren't wholly impressed either. However, having lived within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California for several years, our bar is admittedly set high for this type of attraction. The Florida Aquarium is very kid friendly (a plus or a minus... More

Here's the scoop: The aquarium itself was decent, not extraordinary. It's inclusive of more than just marine animals, so that added to its quality. We (myself & my boyfriend ~20s~) attended on a Thursday afternoon. It was very crowded, so we decided to get some food before seeing the attractions. We thought we were going to be healthy & split...
