Tampa has a lot going for it, and when thinking of Aquariums, this may not be the Shedd in Chicago, or Monterrey, CA, or Atlanta, GA, but what the Florida Aquarium offers is just a exciting exhibits with very life-like presentations of Florida coastlines, mangrove wetlands, etc. A very nice variety of sea-life typical of the waters surrounding Florida and... My wife and I visited the aquarium on a weekend and were expected a lot of kids however, we were not prepared for the on-slot of kids we encountered. Once we were able to acclimatise to the demographic we enjoyed the aquarium. It was a bit smaller then expected. On a side note one thing both my wife and I... More

For approx $24 per person, this has to be the worst attraction in terms of value. The actual aquarium part was very small and we had seen everything in just over 30 minutes. I think you could pad out you visit by paying even more for a dolphin cruise or a behind the scenes tour. Best part was seeing an... More

Really interesting and enjoyable aquarium. There are different areas to see and they have been put together very thoughtfully. It is also interactive, you are invited to put your hands into the exhibits!

There is a lot to take in and see, everyone will enjoy the props and exhibits, take your time and enjoy all there is to see, do not rush through or you will miss out on some pretty neat items.

We visited the Florida Aquarium using the Tampa Bay City Pass! If you are planning a Tampa trip, order and have it shipped to your home prior well in advance. It will save you money if you are planning to go to Busch Gardens and two other places (we went to Clearwater Aquarium and Busch Gardens too... we did not... More

We had time to kill between a cruise and our flight home so we stopped by the aquarium. They will store your luggage for you for free, so we dropped everything off at the front and looked around. This aquarium is small but well-kept and had lots of beautiful sea-life and local animals. The exhibits were engaging. It's not an... More

We had a beautiful day. The children loved it. So many interesting fish and sites to see. Even has a small water park for small children.

We had a good time at the Florida Aquarium. We live on Cape Cod (MA), so it was good to get a educational and fun look at aquatic and shore life in FL.

This was our first stop in Tampa, and it was definitely interesting. It's a smaller aquarium, with two levels, but the wildlife is extremely interesting. The ability to touch the sting rays was very very cool, as we were able to touch them 6 times. The sea turtles and river otters were also exciting to watch. The aquarium also offers... More
