Awesomely beautiful Lake Hall. Staff was very helpful with our kayak rentals. Great day! Enjoyed swimming in the lake too.

I have been going to Maclay Gardens for nearly 40 years and have visited it at least 12 times. The gardens are lovely, especially when the camellias and azaleas are in full bloom. They are well maintained and definitely a must see in springtime in Tallahassee. Camellias are in bloom beginning in early January and the gardens are at their... More

We came to the park during the mid morning walked inside , and hiked the lake trail for an hour, 97% of the trail is shaded, easy to walk, fresh air, birds sounds, butterflies all over, the amazing size of huge trees, the entire walk was like a relaxing therapy, a great way to meditate while walking around!! I do... More

If you are looking to get away from everything, this is a beautiful and peaceful location. The gardens are lovely and peaceful. While we strolled down the walkway, we saw 2 photo shoots taking place along the way. One was a pregnant mother and her spouse, the other couple we saw seemed to be taking engagement photos. Its a beautiful... More

If there were a competition among gardens in Florida, McClay Gardens would win "Best in Show". From it's reflecting pond to its tree lined brick walkways the gardens are spectacular. Showy in almost any season, but most colorful in early spring when the Dogwoods and Azaleas are both blooming. Let's not forget the spectacular Camellias, one of my favorite flowers,... More

Just a short way off of I-10 in Tallahassee is the lovely Alfred Maclay Gardens State Park. While prettiest in the Spring with the azaleas blooming, it is also gorgeous in camellia season. Summer brings swimming in the large lake, and long walks along the brick and dirt paths in the garden. Nice picnic tables and grills at the lake.... More

Coming from south florida with the congestion and traffic, spending a few hours at the Maclay gardens was refreshing. One of the most beautiful gardens I have seen, a must stop for those who love the outdoors.

We visited in late May when there really wasn't a lot to see. The park has a lot of azaleas, so I imagine when they're in full bloom the garden must be magnificently beautiful. There's plenty of greenery to see in late May, but not much in bloom. I also expected the garden to be a bit larger, but it... More

Beautiful park with a great flower garden and an area for a wedding ceremony that is unbelievably picturesque with a long pool and a view of the lake through the trees that is amazing. Great place to get away from life's hustle for an afternoon of tranquil beauty.
