This park is very well maintained. A nice place for everyone to see and experience. The attendant, Mary, was well informed and you tell she really cares for the park.

I really didn't think I was the one for walking around a garden but Maclay is SO beautiful! Well worth the trip and the entrance fee. Would be a beautiful location for a spring wedding! Look forward to going back again soon.

Very scenic and peaceful. There are people walking hand in hand, families taking family portraits, engagement photos and about anything else you can imagine. Lots of walking trails. Great for couples or families with younger kids. Pack a picnic lunch and spend a couple hours. There are lots of side trails and grassed areas where you can find a little... More

This garden, which is convenient to the freeway has always been under utilized when I've been there. This makes for a peaceful experience to walk among the azaleas and other plants.

The walk through the gardens is very nice. Everything is kept very nicely groomed. Lots of beautiful foliage. Did not get to go through the house because it is only open for tours for part of the year. But, still worth the stop. Glad we stopped in during our shopping trip to Tallahassee. Recommended to all, like us, who typically... More

Plenty of benches. some covered, for picnicking. Facilities to bbq. The water is sectioned off for swimming. The grounds are extremely pretty and clean and there are rest rooms available. Plenty of space for children to run around. We had a lovely day there.

During our trips to Tallahassee each year we always make time to visit the Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. There are always a variety of trees, bushes and flowers in bloom. The Secret Garden is one of our favorites as well as the gated garden and reflecting pool. It is a wonderful place to walk and see nature at... More
