We visited with friends last month.....what a delightful wander. While we were there there was a display of locally made Scarecrows, loved it!! The gardens are beautifully maintained and a delight to wander through! Easy drive out of a Tallahassee, and easy parking. Loved the Spanish Moss in the trees. A treat for this pair of Aussie travellers!

My family and I have gone walking these trails a few times, and we enjoyed ourselves. The only thing I'd say is the open field in between the wooded areas was kind of weird and took away from the "wilderness in the city" feel.

A wonderful state park. Not too big, but very beautiful with so many incredible flowers. It is an outdoor park and on a nice day it is so plesant to spend time here.

These gardens truly represent Tallahassee and its tie to natural beauty. The lake is a focal point as is the secret garden. Plan several hours of enjoyment. Plenty of shade, too, for those sunny Florida days.

This park is very well maintained. A nice place for everyone to see and experience. The attendant, Mary, was well informed and you tell she really cares for the park.

I really didn't think I was the one for walking around a garden but Maclay is SO beautiful! Well worth the trip and the entrance fee. Would be a beautiful location for a spring wedding! Look forward to going back again soon.

Very scenic and peaceful. There are people walking hand in hand, families taking family portraits, engagement photos and about anything else you can imagine. Lots of walking trails. Great for couples or families with younger kids. Pack a picnic lunch and spend a couple hours. There are lots of side trails and grassed areas where you can find a little... More
