Fantastic place to spend several hours or all day. I enjoy photography and the beautifully kept grounds are photogenic in any weather or lighting conditions. Always something new and different to look at with the changing seasons.

A real jewel in the heart of Tallahassee. Took a walk around the grounds and through the hiking trails. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

This is where I got married. Stunning gardens, especially during the springtime. Well worth your time to see.

Beautiful, well maintained and right in the middle of the city but you would never know. So serene and a good place for kids to run off some energy

Very nice walking trails around gardens and the lake. Particularly like the formal garden and reflecting pool. Worth the trip. Nice plants in bloom most times, but azaleas are the most beautiful.

My friend, son, and I were on a day trip to Tallahassee and decided to check out Alfred D. Maclay Gardens State Park based on prior reviews and images; they have a military discount which is a plus as well. We choose to go with the Gardens and Park passes and were so happy we did! Simply put, the gardens... More

If you want to see azaleas and camellias this is the place for you, come when they are blooming, usually Feb and March. There is a nice path through the gardens but difficult to negotiate if someone is in a wheelchair. There are several nice spots where you can sit along the path. In addition to the gardens there is... More

We were happily surprised at this state park. The grounds were perfect, the volunteers were helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was flowering when we were there. Well worth a visit.
