I love this trail. I ride it a few times a year. The fishing town of St. Marks and San Marcos de Apalache State Park are with the ride.

The rail to trail bike (or running) trail is close to Tallahassee (Capitol City Circle), but takes you to the coast and through some varied parts of this section of Florida. There's even a spur that will allow you to go to Wakulla Springs. There are frequent benches to allow you to rest along the 16 mile (one-way) trail and... More

Whether you enjoy mountain biking, road biking, or just walking, these trails are beautiful and nice. These are not really for amateurs as there are many trees and obstacles inches from the road, but if you can ride proficiently, then you should have no problems.

This is an easy, scenic spin from Tallahassee to St. Marks. Once we reach st. Marks, we either ride up to the lighthouse, or tool around the docks. The entire trail is smoothly paved. The overhanging canopy of trees offers shade. One quick warning to female cyclists and runners: please bring a partner. I've never experienced any problems, but have... More

If you are used to flatland trails this is a must for hilly Tallahassee. This trail is nicely shaded by mature trees, perfect for a hot summer bike ride.

In hot days, a great place to ride your bike is the St. Mark's trail. A "Rails-to-Trails" project, it is almost exactly flat, newly paved, with a canopy of tress protecting you from the hot sun. You can go all the way to St. Marks, or turn around anytime. There are rest rooms and benches for stopping if desired.

This trail is absolutely wonderful. Well maintained and beautiful on a lovely spring day. If you have a couple hours to kill and want to ride bikes, jog, walk or just enjoy the outdoors, give this place a try!! Personally I LOVE to go mountain biking on Munson Trail. The trail head is at the park close to the intersection... More

The Trail is mostly flat, very long, but does cross a few highways. It's been extended several times and now must be around 20 miles long. It goes thru Canopy woods and has a "coastal-area" topography, sandy and scraggly, but interesting. 2 different parking areas, though sometimes, when busy, not enough. Great for walking, bicycling, skating. No motorized vehicles allowed.

In years past, a bike trip from Tallahassee to Saint Marks along a hard-surfaced trail along an old railroad bed would be a high point outting in spring or fall. That was because Posey's with cold beer and great oysters awaited at the Saint Marks end. But alas, Posey's, flooded by a hurricane several years ago no longer awaits at... More

The bike trail is level and well groomed. You can bike from Southwood all the way to St. Marks. At St. Marks you can have lunch and a beer and visit Fort San Marco.
