This trail has always been on my bucket list of Florida bike trails but couldn't justify the drive all the way from Tampa just to ride it. However, this past weekend we we had tickets to the FSU-Notre Dame game so decided to bring our bikes and was very glad that we did. The weather was perfect for bike riding... More

We rented hybrid bikes from the bicycle shop which is about 1.5 miles from the Tallahassee trail head. We cycled at a leisurely pace taking time to stop and enjoy the surroundings. We did just 23 miles total and it was an enjoyable cycle. I think cycling from the St Marks Trailhead may have been more scenic, however and would... More

I've rode this trail many times in the past couple of years. I start in Tallahassee at the Capital Circle Trailhead ending at St. Marks. The last 6 miles, from Hwy 98 to St. Marks is the prettiest part with a lot shade and some curves. A flat trail with many chances to stop for water, benches or restrooms along... More

I have been riding the trail for years. The trail was recently resurfaced and widened along with the addition of more bathrooms. Over the years since it was a railroad the trees have grown closer to the trail so even on the sunniest days you can find shade to ride in. I personally like to ride from Tallahassee to Saint... We started in St. Marks, rode to the end in Tallahassee then back to St Marks for lunch. The rails to trails path runs through some lovely shady areas and passes through some great country side. Traffic was not an issue until we got right into tallahassee. We are big rails to trails fans and this one is one of... More

I love this trail. I ride it a few times a year. The fishing town of St. Marks and San Marcos de Apalache State Park are with the ride.

The rail to trail bike (or running) trail is close to Tallahassee (Capitol City Circle), but takes you to the coast and through some varied parts of this section of Florida. There's even a spur that will allow you to go to Wakulla Springs. There are frequent benches to allow you to rest along the 16 mile (one-way) trail and... More

Whether you enjoy mountain biking, road biking, or just walking, these trails are beautiful and nice. These are not really for amateurs as there are many trees and obstacles inches from the road, but if you can ride proficiently, then you should have no problems.

This is an easy, scenic spin from Tallahassee to St. Marks. Once we reach st. Marks, we either ride up to the lighthouse, or tool around the docks. The entire trail is smoothly paved. The overhanging canopy of trees offers shade. One quick warning to female cyclists and runners: please bring a partner. I've never experienced any problems, but have... More
