If you like camping where it's nice and quiet and private, don't bother to check out Markham Park in Sunrise, FL. This is a Broward County park, but for the price we paid to stay there, we sure weren't happy. It's the noisiest park we've ever stayed in. Target range near the campground goes all day until ten o'clock at... More

At 660+ acres, Markham Park is a huge park. An entrance fee of $1.50 per person is required only on weekends and holidays. There is a 100-acre lake that has a boat launch for non-gas powered craft. You can fish for bass, bream, and catfish. Some unique features of this park include: --A target range for both rifles and pistols.... More

We go frequently to avail ourselves of the shooting range. There are separate facilities for handgun/rifle, trap, skeet, sporting clays and archery. The rifle range can get quite crowded and you might encounter a long wait. Safety is paramount and the range officers are diligent. We recently tried the trap facility. It too is well run. We need to make... More

This park has it all!!! During the weekdays, entry into the park is free. On the weekends there is a small fee to enter. This park has pavilions, large open grassy fields, lakes for fishing, boat ramp which launches into the far west New River, shooting range, a radio controlled airplane field, and a walking path that goes all the... We just recently had an informal current and former employee picnic at Pavilion #7. The view is great, the area was EXTREMELY clean and it was very convenient right by the mens and women's facilities. I had not been to Markham in more than 10 years and there are some very nice enhancements that have been made. I would recommend... More

The Markham Park Nature trail is the urban version of a Nature trail. Imagine a trail that has in one side the most transited highway in South Florida and a shoot in in South Florida and a shooting range in the other side of the trail. The level of noise is just unbelievable and still t got some Cardinals beautiful... More

I have been there several time since I live close to the park. Children enjoy the place and there is lots of things to do. Clean public park and if the weather helps you'll have a great time.

We stopped at Markham Park because we were just looking for a place to walk. We had no idea how large it was nor how many different activities there are. Camping, hiking, biking, gun range, picnic shelters, fishing, and a dog park, just to name some.
