One of my favorite places

I have been going to Markham park for the last 5 years! Usually there every weekend. It is a clean park with plenty to do. It is perfect for a get away weekend.

Markham park is a peaceful getaway for a family drive, picnic, day with the Grandkids or a fun day at the doggie park with our dogs.

I love this park. Entry is free on the weekdays, and a small charge on the weekends with the option to buy a year pass for $25. This park has tons of open space to play or picnic and there are tons of activities. There is a shooting range here for shotgun, handgun, and rifle, a mountain bike trail, boat... More

So, I've been here three times. Twice for the shooting range and once for stargazing at the on-sight observatory. I had a great time doing both. The staff at each were professional and accommodating. My only complaint would be that it's difficult to navigate to the specific sites within the park. You really need to know where you're going because... More

Visited Markham Park over the weekend with a large group and the shooting range staff was accommodating. Some of our group members were first time shooters and the staff went over the range rules. A couple of our group members committed shooting violations and the staff sternly yet professionaly warned them about their actions. Will definitely come back. My only... More

Didn't know what expect. Was super surprised to find the small airport for RCA with a very active group. Lots of fun for the kids. They also had a boat group. Shooting range for those that like to practice. Over all a very well rounded park. Lots to do for those who have a bike. Great place to camp if... More

Only dislikes were ... $1.50 entrance fee per person and the codes on the bathrooms to access. Clean park and nice setting to celebrate a family memorial.

This large park is a great place to get out and enjoy nature. There is plenty of space to run, walk, bike, fly planes, play ball, picnic, etc. The dog park is divided into two sections - one for large dogs and one for small ones. It can get crowded on weekends and later in the day, so it is... More

The landscaping in general is really well-maintained. It's a great place to picnic, play ball, bike, walk or run. It costs $1.50 a person on weekends but is free during the week. The dog park is not as well-kept. You have to pay $25 a year to use the dog park. There are two area, one for dogs under 25... More
