First, I want to say the boat ride was very enjoyable. The mate Patrick did an excellent job of pointing out wildlife and making the experience enjoyable for everyone on board. There were also some educational elements that were interesting. However, the poor rating is because despite the enjoyable nature of the ride the ranting and ravings of Captain Nancy... More

My mom and I loved this educational tour so much we went twice in one day! Bird island was amazing as well as the dolphins and manatee. We learned so much about the ecosystem and importance of mangroves. Nancy's knowledge was astounding. I highly recommend this tour!

I am Florida native who fishes and boats frequently on the Indian River. Captain Nancy is knowledgable, passionate, and thoroughly entertaining. It's a beautiful and enjoyable tour that I would recommend for tourists and locals.

We were told by friends that Nancy gives the best trip down the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon. She is a expert naturalist and advocate of sustainable environment and a keen observer of marine wildlife. An interesting speaker who is able to communicate her passion for marine wildlife. We took the Sunset Cruise in order to go... More

Captain Nancy is truly an expert and very passionate about the sea life and saving the animals and the environment. We saw tons of birds and several dolphins during the trip. It was a beautiful area to see. I learned a lot about the area and what is happening to the environment. Too bad more people don't share her passion... More

Get on board The Sunshine Lady with Captain Nancy ~ Coastal Master Naturalist, certified marine mammal observer and wildlife monitor. Her mission, her passion, is to promote a healthy, sustainable environment for coastal and marine wildlife through research and education. She explains the issues thoroughly as the pontoon cruises the lagoon. She has so much to teach and we have... More

A 2 hour ride on a pontoon boat with lots of narrative by captain Nancy. Talks about the negative effects of fertilizers, education on mangroves, identifying many type of birds especially at Bird island. Stopped for dolphin watching. I liked seeing the area from the water.

If you wish to spend a couple of hours seeing one of the world's most bio-diverse estuaries and encounter many species of birds, manatees in season, and maybe a bottle-nosed dolphin, call Captain Nancy. She runs her pontoon boat out of Manatee Pocket in Stuart — day time tours and a sunset tour to "bird island" where thousands of birds roost... More

My family and I took this short trip today and it was one of the best attractions in this area. Captain Nancy is a wonderful, passionate person who is very concerned about the environmental changes that are happening due to misguided and poorly planned policies. The tour started promptly and we cruised leisurely around the Indian River Lagoon which is... More
