Small and crowded, but a great place to swim and see the sunset

Sunsets are lovely here. Small car park but we've always been lucky. Covered food tables but not a lot of shade elsewhere if you have young children. Locals tell us they often see Dolphins here (although we never have). Such a pretty spot, would highly recommend a visit.

Some of the beaches around this area leave a lot to be desired and unless you're willing to travel another 50 miles south-this one is the best. It's not like the large, over-crowed touristy beaches, more of a laid-back local country beach. Located on the Gulf of Mexico with clear, calm water with little waves and white sands. A large... We have gone here several times and it is always very pretty and quiet, but the main problem is finding a parking spot. If you aren't there early in morning especially on week ends, you are out of luck.

This little park has picnic tables, a small playground, and a little restaurant to get some food. The beach is beautiful and you will often see dolphins.

Pine Island is a locals beach/park, and tourists who visit family are usually taken here. It's a peninsula with swimming on one side and rocks and fishing on the other. The gulf is pretty safe when it comes to sharks, but the best time is still when the tide is out. Go there too for the sunset. It's not a... More

Drove from Orlando on a weekday. Pleasant drive on county roads. Smallest beach we were ever on but lovely. Not crowded. Lots of families. Parking around a really nice play area. Short walk from parking to beach. Great for children as no big waves, can walk out quite a distance before gradually gets deeper. Everyone was quiet with distance between... More

Nice county park. Clean and inviting. Has a playground for children and a concession stand. Picnic tables that overlook the gulf.
