Pine Island is a locals beach/park, and tourists who visit family are usually taken here. It's a peninsula with swimming on one side and rocks and fishing on the other. The gulf is pretty safe when it comes to sharks, but the best time is still when the tide is out. Go there too for the sunset. It's not a... More

Drove from Orlando on a weekday. Pleasant drive on county roads. Smallest beach we were ever on but lovely. Not crowded. Lots of families. Parking around a really nice play area. Short walk from parking to beach. Great for children as no big waves, can walk out quite a distance before gradually gets deeper. Everyone was quiet with distance between... More

Nice county park. Clean and inviting. Has a playground for children and a concession stand. Picnic tables that overlook the gulf.

Great location, plenty parking on our mid week visit, nice shallow water, good kids park and bar food and drinks, will be back to watch the sun set.

Ok but can be really loud when it's full of kids screaming as it's a fairly small area. Also there can be some issues with parking as it is limited. Being that it's the only option in the county it is better than nothing.

I got to Pine Island Park to see a beach but was disappointed to find a small beach with dirty sand and littered. We did get to see people lighting Chinese hot air kites into the air which was a pleasant surprise. We also so hundreds of sand crabs crawling along the sand near sunset. The sunset was spectacular.

Pine Island is a great place to sit & relax; tip you toes in the water; bird watch; people watch. The afternoon breeze feels wonderful and the sunsets are stunning. If you are tired of overcrowded beaches or too commercialized ones, give Pine Island a try. PLUS you can get a great lunch or dinner at Willy's!!

Go at high tide in morning til lunch. We got here around 3pm at low tide. Not much swimming at this time but crabs, snails and fish the kids can try to catch. We really enjoyed pine island beach.

Very nice small beach. Sometimes very hard to find parking spot. Dolphins can be spotted sometimes. The food concession serves decent food and drinks. The beach is kept clean by the park crew.

Not a huge beach and it does not have much parking. Because parking is limited that means the beach itself is never over-crowded, which is nice. The best time to go is early morning or late afternoon if you want to find a spot. It is very shallow. My 7 y.o. nephew loves it because he can walk out a... More
