I got to Pine Island Park to see a beach but was disappointed to find a small beach with dirty sand and littered. We did get to see people lighting Chinese hot air kites into the air which was a pleasant surprise. We also so hundreds of sand crabs crawling along the sand near sunset. The sunset was spectacular.

Pine Island is a great place to sit & relax; tip you toes in the water; bird watch; people watch. The afternoon breeze feels wonderful and the sunsets are stunning. If you are tired of overcrowded beaches or too commercialized ones, give Pine Island a try. PLUS you can get a great lunch or dinner at Willy's!!

Very nice small beach. Sometimes very hard to find parking spot. Dolphins can be spotted sometimes. The food concession serves decent food and drinks. The beach is kept clean by the park crew.

Not a huge beach and it does not have much parking. Because parking is limited that means the beach itself is never over-crowded, which is nice. The best time to go is early morning or late afternoon if you want to find a spot. It is very shallow. My 7 y.o. nephew loves it because he can walk out a... More

such a lovely safe place. we seen dolphins, crabs and fish. its very shallow, which is reassuring with small children but a bit boring if you love a good swim in the sea. it was evening each time when we were here and there was a small amount of rubbish around, but it was the memorial weekend so probably quite... Great place to get away and feel like you have gotten away. Relaxing, and enjoyable. Parking may get full but later in the day should be great for sunset. Good food at the concession. Kids love it. This and Honeymoon Island are our two favorite places.

A small but well appointed park, nice stop for a fiver, with both a coastal beach and an inland waterway beach area. Small boats and fishing is allowed, separated from the swimmers, very clean white sand beaches. Includes covered benches, BBQ, showers and even a very nice kiosk supplying drinks and ice cream.

Having visited Florida many times I was less than impressed with this beach. I guess if you are a local it's a quick visit but I would not travel any distance to go there. I heard a local refer to this place as, "the Redneck Riviera". Of course these were the same guys who saw a snake in the water,... More
