Myself and my family came here in July. It's was well worth the trip to see it. The boat trip was informative and the grounds are beautifully kept. You can also hire canoes to paddle on the lake. A quick tip if you are traveling from the orlando area use the 27 road and avoid paying the toils on the... More

The campground is amazing. Sites are huge and good for any size rig. The trails that we hiked were nice. Saw deer, wild turkey and tortoises all over the grounds. Did not get to canoe so will come back for that. Not quite sure why the museum is only open on the weekends.

...and we were. Spent several days camping and touring. We rented a tandem kayak for 2 hours, had lunch outside the park, then returned for the 90 minute glass bottom boat tour . There are 3 scheduled tours and very worth the $20.00 each. Have some nice pictures! The lazy river is gentle and easy for kayaking, and ever so... More

It is an enjoyable 30 minute ride and explore a major water supply from the springs. Several major movies were taped in part at this park.

We took the glass bottom boat tour and it was awesome! The water is crystal clear and it is amazing how you can see the springs at the bottom.

My fiance and I love going to museums on weekends and when we hear there was one in Ocala we made the drive over. The museum was nice and informative, but smaller than we expected. It only took about a half hour to look at everything in the entire museum. It was well maintained though and the people working at... More

We took the 90-minute Glass Bottom Boat tour & Captain Earl kept us entertained & was very knowledgeable concerning all aspects of park, river, & area history.. We highly recommend this tour & hope you will be fortunate to get Captain Earl conducting your tour!.. All park employees were very friendly & helpful.. However, we did not receive a map... More

We rented a kayak for two hours, we could have been out half the day. Very beautiful, serene river where we experienced alligators, turtles, birds, colorful fish in the clear waters, and MONKEYS left over from the old movie making days that the park had. You can canoe/kayak over the various natural springs but a glass bottom boat tour will... More

Our family stayed in the cabins for 2 nights during spring break. What a great time we had - even our two teenage boys;-) The cabins were clean and had all the basics you could need. They have huge wrap-around screened porches with rocking chairs and a picnic table, plus a great backyard fire pit with benches in case you... More
