For clarification, I am only rating the campground as it relates to RV and Trailer camping. No consideration is given for other aspects of a campground/park, such as swimming pools, clubhouses, or activities such as fishing or canoeing. Also, many campgrounds may have a variety of quality. My assessment is base on what I perceive as the best they have... More

I live in Floirda, and there are activities that are reasonable, some that are questionable, some illegal, and some that are excellent, full-on fun, valuable and overall excellent. The tourist industry is important to Florida, and we want (or should want) excellent, safe, and valuable attractions. Silver river is one of those places. Silver River took over another area (Silver... More

We just visited Silver Springs and took the glass bottom boat tour. It was a little pricey but our 4 grandkids voted it the best of the trip:) The park it self is $8 a car load so that's a bargin. Really hot during this month of August so maybe plan a month when the weather is cooler. I would... More

The glass bottom boats are a must! The rest of the park is a bit run down and there is ongoing construction. Hopefully in the future things will change. Other reviews of the staff being rude or zombie like has obviously changed since the state has taken over. Everyone we dealt with was very nice.

Would definitely recommended a visit if staying in Ocala or Orlando. A beautiful national park with a few gift stores and a small restaurant. The glass bottom boat is a must, they run very frequently from the dock in the middle of the park. Tickets can be bought at the kiosk next where the boats depart. You can go on... More

Myself and my family came here in July. It's was well worth the trip to see it. The boat trip was informative and the grounds are beautifully kept. You can also hire canoes to paddle on the lake. A quick tip if you are traveling from the orlando area use the 27 road and avoid paying the toils on the... More

The campground is amazing. Sites are huge and good for any size rig. The trails that we hiked were nice. Saw deer, wild turkey and tortoises all over the grounds. Did not get to canoe so will come back for that. Not quite sure why the museum is only open on the weekends.

...and we were. Spent several days camping and touring. We rented a tandem kayak for 2 hours, had lunch outside the park, then returned for the 90 minute glass bottom boat tour . There are 3 scheduled tours and very worth the $20.00 each. Have some nice pictures! The lazy river is gentle and easy for kayaking, and ever so... More

It is an enjoyable 30 minute ride and explore a major water supply from the springs. Several major movies were taped in part at this park.
