Voted #1 beach in the US and with good reason. You can walk for miles and the sand is like flour. Bright, white and lovely. Great beach for kids.

As this is a public beach and one hyped a lot be aware it will be crowded and parking will be an issue.. Locals and residents mostly go to other less crowded areas. There are two ways onto Siesta Key, with most people coming off Tamiami Trail and Clark .. The other is further south. Bring chairs, blanket and WATER with... More

Powder sugar-like sand (in colour & consistency) I never even immagined that the sand on the beach can be like this (maybe because I'm primarily not a beach person?). You really walk in the consistency of a powder sugar or flour. Some steps it even cracked as walking on the snow. Just beautiful! + The bay is long enough to... More

Huge beach, sand so white and soft you feel like your walking on plush carpet! The best part= it doesn't get hot. The water is beautiful and it doesn't feel crowded. Only drawback- they were doing some construction at the public entrance...no big deal.

This is a must do if you are in the area! It is a soft, white powdery sand and perfect for swimming and walking. When we were there they had tents set up for purchases and a sand castle competition. The are restroom facilities and a concession for food and drinks. They also sell chairs and umbrellas for a hefty... More

Beautiful beach with white cool sand that feels like flour because of the quartz. My favourite beach along with Crescent beach next to it.

we love the white powder sand and calm water, free parking. we parked at the section where they are building or expanding so the restrooms were portable but still adequate. it's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the beach so keep that in mind. life guards are on duty at this beach so that's a plus.... This Beach with the Gulf of Mexico waters is Breathtaking! This has to be one of the prettiest beaches around. We love coming here, it's our favorite beach in FL. The sand is white like sugar and never gets hot no matter what temperature it is in the summer. Kids and adults of all ages find this beach a jewel.... More

Great beach! Beautiful! BUT The village at siesta key is kind of dumpy and we stayed there in a not so nice place and got ripped off at the Seaspray Resort. I would suggest just going to a different beach if you are planning on spending any nights. It wasn't for us. All of the Gulf has beautiful beaches.
