Fine white sugar sand, massive layout, free parking, charcoal grills and picnic areas, volleyball courts, lifeguard stands, concessions. This beach really has it all. It is no private beach with Caribbean waters. However, It is my #1 choice for a true day at the beach experience.

I absolutely loved this beach! Beautiful white sand as far as you can see. Water was crystal clear -- we even saw stingrays right in close to shore!

This beach had the softest sand by far of any beach I have ever visited. It was like walking on sifted flour. I could walk on it for miles. Unfortunately while we were visiting there was a red tide. So there were many sea shell creatures (conchs and others) that had washed up on the shore and were rotting there.... More

If you judge a beach by clarity of water go to Siesta Key at mid tide walk until you reach waist depth and look down at your feet. Hope you had a pedicure as they will be clear as glass. Then the beach you walked across to get there will be like talcum powder : soft and never hot and... More

Siesta Beach is beautiful, but it is extremely crowded due to all of the high-rise condos along it. We did enjoy our morning walks from one end to the other. Unfortunately, there was a massive fish kill due to the red tide, but the next day the beach had been cleaned up a whole lot.

Head down with some chairs and a drink to experience the magic of the sunset on this beach and you won't be disappointed

I love the white sands and the shelling in the area. It is usually not too crowded and just beautiful.

Great beach, lots of fun and tons of people walking , riding bikes etc. The beach is hardpacked so it is easy to ride on. the only negative was something called RED TIDE which has killed a lot of fish and causes respiratory issues- cough a lot.

Soft white sand, lots of room so you are not on top of anyone. The improvements are very nice with places for kids to play and plenty of free parking. There is a snack bar for convenience. We spent about 4 hours relaxing. The water was cool because the winter temperatures have been exceptionally cold. I can't wait to go... More

This beach was amazing for walking and biking! We stayed right across the street from the beach, so we really enjoyed taking walks. The people are also very friendly!
