Siesta Key Beach is the name of the public beach area on Crescent Beach. The ultra white fine sand is rare and beautiful. The sand is soft like sugar. The water is azure blue unless there is bad weather (not often).

I've been to many beaches but this sand is like no where I've been. Feels like powder. Beautiful beach, many active people (old and young) walk the beach all day. Fun people watching!

Tranquil Beach with white powder sand! It has a very relaxed atmosphere and there are no lifeguards on duty!

Fine white sand that feels like sugar and never heats up because of the quartz content. Green-blue water of the Gulf. Amazing beach for walking and running. I have been in love with this beach for many years and always will be. I've been to Destin and Sanibel, which were pretty. But there is only one Crescent Beach!

Worlds softest sand. Even in the heat of the day the white sand doesn't burn your feet. Dry sand feels like powdered sugar. Clear blue water.

We stayed nearby, and had the code to get through the gate. Don't know if there is a public entrance. Same kind of sand as Siesta Beach, but not as wide and lots of resorts. Like it better, though.

Add me to the list of people who have never experienced talcum powder sand. Our condo on the beach afforded us the opportunity to walk onto this beach almost every day of our vacation (one rainout day). Sunsets were perfect. New Year's Eve gave us a free viewing of folks lighting fireworks up and down Crescent and Siesta beaches. No... More
