My husband and I spent 3 hours at The Lost Mines last weekend and it was awesome! We left with more fossils and gems than we ever expected and the owner James is so knowledgeable and he took very good care of us...nice guy too. We highly recommend Lost Mines of Atlantis in Sebring.

We visited this business withour Granddaughter and broused the shop, as well as sifting through 3 buckets of stones in the Mine. We frequently hunt fossils in the Peace river and did this for a change. We had a great time. The owner was very knowledgable about all of his products,. and that really helps.

My husband and I have been to this place twice now in a 6 month period, we love it so much. We live over an hour away, but it's more than worth the drive for us. I even chose to celebrate my birthday at Lost Mines this year. I am an avid mineral collector and have grown my collection immensely... More

You must have no less than 4-6 persons available to "mine" treasure. Owner is not overly enthusiastic about his business or toward those who have randomly stopped by to see what the business is all about.

Your reviewing something you didn't do ??? I've been here 16 years and your a local ?? It's not 6 - 8 people. There is a minimum, I'm not sure if your upset because you could not afford it, or that I though it was something that you wouldn't enjoy.. either way, people from all over the world come to... We all bought a bucket, two with raw crystals, one with polished stones and one with preicous stones. We ended up with five small bags of crystals and polished stones, and a small sacklet with raw rubies and emaralds. Our kids love crystals, and we went here as a treat for them -it ended up beeing a treat for us... More

This was an experience! As I was hunting for gems in the rough, I felt like I was back in time rock hunting with my dad. Go with a group of friends and share their experience as well. After, we explored the curio shop which is rather a cabinet of curiosities(ref.circa 1800's) Search all nooks and crannies and find things... More

I wasn't sure I had found the right place when I first drove by. It has been a while since this place has seen any TLC. The inside is dark and cluttered. When I inquired about the gem mining the owner told me I could have read the rules online. After explaining the procedure, we went outside and chose the... More

We are a destination location for people who are interested it finding the largest quantity best quality raw semi precious and precious gem stones in the world. I sell to the Carolina s not buy from them... The minimum of $60 is to discourage people just like you that are " killing time". That's why I asked you if you... More

The Green Man shop is the best we have seen, ever! There is something there in every price range and for everyone. Trust us you will want to stop and check this place out, it is a cross between Curio Shop and Museum. We spent two hours in the shop looking and learning about many cultures, history and spirituality. The... More

Our family has always wanted to make a stop at this unique establishment. Well we finally did! We were all pleasantly surprised. They were closing at 3 pm, we arrived at 2:45. We actually just stopped into to check the place out for next time. When the owner graciously told us he would stay open later for us. Our children... More

This is a nice place to come for a fun afternoon and relaxation. Outside mining: The area is covered by umbrellas for those who need the shade. Although there are umbrellas, make sure you wear your sunscreen. It gets hot out there. The man offered us bottled water. We appreciated that greatly. As the temperature was close to 99 degrees....
