The Lost Mines of Atlantis is wonderful! My son and I were there today and had a great time! James, the owner is outstanding! Always helpful and has a plethora of knowledge regarding the gems and all of the items in his store. It was a wonderful day of panning and we walked away with over 20lbs of gems! Great... More

Although it is not really a mine it was a very genuine experience. I have been to other places similar to this and I came home with a small bag not even a quarter of the way full. Here I went home with larger specimens as well as many more bags full. The $55 bucket is worth every penny it... More

I drove over from Tampa for a relaxing day panning for gems. I thoroughly loved the experience. The owner James was very kind & knowledgable. He even turned a fan towards me to help with the summer heat. I now have numerous beautiful gems in many different colors to decorate with. The store is amazing as well. There are many... More

Had an amazing day with friends at the mine, spent most of our time sifting through our buckets and found sooo many crystals; tigers eye, amethyst, citrine, quartz, and stones I've never even heard of. I got way more than I expected and definitely got our money's worth out of the $55 bucket. We explored his shop with so many... More

The mine is a bucket of course sand stocked with low value gems and stones, which the customer sifts through using water. Basically, it is a rip off with very little value in raw stones, if any. And, the owner/proprietor was rude, very rude especially when he told me that I had to sit in my car or pay $10... More

This was great. I brought my teen kids out for a day trip. They had a great time. Lots of gems in each bucket. The gift shop was full of great items and everything reasonable prices. It made for a great day.

My husband and I spent 3 hours at The Lost Mines last weekend and it was awesome! We left with more fossils and gems than we ever expected and the owner James is so knowledgeable and he took very good care of us...nice guy too. We highly recommend Lost Mines of Atlantis in Sebring.

We visited this business withour Granddaughter and broused the shop, as well as sifting through 3 buckets of stones in the Mine. We frequently hunt fossils in the Peace river and did this for a change. We had a great time. The owner was very knowledgable about all of his products,. and that really helps.
