South Lido Park is a great place for a family fun day. They have all the amenities you need to spend the day swimming, sun bathing, bbq'ing, and fishing. All in all this is our favorite place to hang out on our days off. With the parking in close proximity to the beach, your days are made easy when bringing... More

We usually start at the little beach along Sarasota Bay where it opens at the Pass to the gulf. There are picnic tables by the bay, with nice shade from the trees there. Sometimes the resident raccoons come to beg for food. As we walk by the bay, we watch fishermen with large egrets standing by, waiting to mooch a... More

This is so worth driving to or if you are lucky enough to be staying at one of the hotels/motel/condo near there to walk over to. It is nature at its best if you take the time to look and enjoy.

Beautiful beach with white sand and sea oats, great for a quiet walk along the water listening to the waves crash on the beach.

Visited in December. Beach was relatively deserted. Very clean and comfortable beach. Would recommend this anytime.

I do not recommend this beach. The current is actually pretty strong and there's restrictions for swimming. But, the worst part is that it is cloudy here. There was no sun at all. So if you want the sun I would probably pick another beach.

Very nice and shady place. Good walking path. Love the solitude and shade. Great place for unwinding.

I am not sure if where I was was technically "South Lido Park". I was on Lido Beach (near Longboat Key), right past the circle at St. Armands. That's what I am reviewing. After you hit the circle at St. Armands, you keep going just a ways, and there is a ton of parking and beach access. I went to... More
