Our favorite beach in Sarasota.

This year they have brand new toilet facilities...beautiful! And the beach is the best, least crowded beach to watch a sunset. Also, we always find tons of sand dollars!!

Was there taking a morning walk and was lucky enough to see Dolphins and manatees playing together! Amazing sight! Love going early or at sunset. Cool place to fly kites too!

We love to walk thru the trails there and along the beach. There is a picnic area with playground, several tables, grills, restrooms and an area for fishing. My husband and friend went fishing there and caught 4 nice Whiting which we cooked for lunch that tasted amazing. Along the point of the park there is a nice beach area... More

Fish off the beach. Hike. Go kayaking through the mangrove tunnels (there's plenty of tour and rental companies operating here). Just hang out on the beach and pretend the high-rises are somewhere else.

Very peaceful. Beautiful beach, bay was also nice. The walk around the beach and bay up to the Bayou was extra special. To our surprise, we saw some parrots. Lots of nice sand dollars to collect.

South Lido Park is a great place for a family fun day. They have all the amenities you need to spend the day swimming, sun bathing, bbq'ing, and fishing. All in all this is our favorite place to hang out on our days off. With the parking in close proximity to the beach, your days are made easy when bringing... More

We usually start at the little beach along Sarasota Bay where it opens at the Pass to the gulf. There are picnic tables by the bay, with nice shade from the trees there. Sometimes the resident raccoons come to beg for food. As we walk by the bay, we watch fishermen with large egrets standing by, waiting to mooch a... More
