At the very end of the road, you'll find the Lido Park complete with a very odd yet modern looking bathroom, dirt parking lot and plenty of tree cover. You'll happen upon many boaters who anchor up on the bay side of the beach for good times. You'll find optomisitic fisherman looking to catch big fish (sharks included) at the... More

it is close to saint Armands Circle, so you can be there for sunset and then enjoy a nice romantic dinner by candlelight at the Circle, wish I were there now!

To me, the West Coast of Florida has the best beaches in the world -- better than St. Bart's, Bermuda, Hawaii, Anguilla, everywhere else I've been. And South Lido Beach tops my list. White sugar-soft sand, few people, ibises feeding at the water's edge, curling around the tip of Lido Key with equal access to the Gulf and the bay... More

Can I just say that I love this area? Sarasota is an underrated, amazing place to visit. Lido is gorgeous. It's less popular than Siesta Key but I like it much better. White sands, amazing sunset views and great shopping at St. Armand's Circle nearby. You should go!

Great place to catch the rays, or enjoy the mostly clear water, but watch out if you burn easily, because you will

Beautiful park complete with beaches, nature trails and awesome paddling opportunities. We brought our kayaks and paddled the mangroves. Park has an easy area to launch your kayaks. You can also rent paddle boards there. Gorgeous way to spend a morning! We look forward to going back.

We like trying various beaches while on vacation, and while this wasn't the best (Siesta Key Beach was) it was out of the way, not as crowded, and great views of the shoreline unlike any other. And its a beach. How great is that. :-)

FREE parking ! Bring your picnic basket and your charcoal and have an awesome barbecue. A quick walk to the beach to cool down, then take a stroll on the nature trails (some boardwalk, some paths). You'll find fiddler crabs, egrets, cranes, you may even see an otter.

This park was just down the road from our hotel. Everyday we saw many (12) people walking to that park until we decided to check it out for ourselves. It was an extension of our beach area.

This park is the hub for kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Can be crowded in peak season but it's the best place to rent/launch a kayak for beautiful mangrove tunnel touring.
