Our favourite Beach

We loved Lido beach as it was not as busy as Siesta but had the same soft sand. We spent most of our time her.

I pulled in to launch my kayak. Was not happy with the "people" in the park. I think a lot of homeless people spend their days there. The point overlooking Siesta Key and the mangroves is okay... But a prefer the white sand beach and more safe area on North Lido Beach

No sharks teeth here. But do get the Lobster Roll at the concession stand (and perhaps the shrimp po-boy). These guys know how to sling some hash! The usual beach crowd around the entrance but walk a few hundred yards and you have some solitude. And an extra special bonus - a 25 yard lane lined heated pool steps away... More

This is my go to spot as a Floridian. The waters are beautiful, usually not packed unless its a busy holiday. The sand is soft, there's bathroom & showers to rinse off. Do be cautious are this area is know for rip currents..besides that I LOVE IT!

We decided to make an effort to explore this park. It is a treasure to walk the trail and enjoy the shade of the mangrove and palms. It is a quiet spot to 'take five' and enjoy nature. Two trails took us to wooden platform and a lookout point over the inlet. We were fortunate to see schools of fish... More

Park is located at the end of Lido Key. It is a large park with lots of trails, as well as beachfront. Parking is more than adequate. Boat mooring, fishing, and swimming are allowed in designated areas. Restrooms and outside showers are located next to the parking lot.

We went with our grandchildren. They loved the playground, beach and picnic area. There were a lot of playful raccoons stealing food from the garbage cans...the children were fascinated by their cuteness!

South Lido Park is lovely. Soft powdery sand, not crowded, bring your own chairs or blanket. Great for walking and shelling. There are people fishing but not many. Great at sunrise and sunset.

We found this park and was very surprised it was free. The beach is nice for swimming, lots of picnic tables and grills. There are fisherman to watch and the gray heron was very entertaining. He would swoop in when someone caught a fish. There are lots of shade pines to sit under. There is a very nice bath house... More
