Went here on a windy day as the beach was too cold and we wanted to spend the day outside reading. Very comfortable, plenty of parking and newer changing rooms, baths. All in all a pleasant day. Did see the raccoons about and they kept to themselves. The squirrels though came right up on our picnic table. Not shy!

The park can fill up on weekends, often with large groups and families with children and we have noticed that there is lots of cross communication among the various groups to the point of sharing samples of each others' ethnic cooking. It all takes place under the pine trees adjacent to the beach. A good place to go to get out... More

Accessible, powder fine sand. Nice for picnics. No dunes. Many birds, too few shells. Cute raccoon family that stroll unafraid.

When we vacation in Sarasota this is the park and beach we go to most. A great shelling beach. Great place to feed the squirels, some even came all the way up our pant legs to get the raw peanuts we offered. Beautiful place to watch the sunsets too!

Great beach, easy access, accommodations for food, drinks, public pool and bath house. Bring your own chairs and umbrellas and enjoy a family fun day at the beach.

Although, the park lot was pretty much underwater from the morning rain, we were still able to get to the water. In January, most don't swim but my daughter did and she liked the beach. Although, there were pine cones and needles all over the ground you would want to wear shoes in the off season. The changing house was... More

We went to see the sunset and was not disappointed. Loved the beach sand. A great place to visit if you like beaches.

This national park is located at the southern tip of Lido Key. We saw birds and shells and beautiful beach. Not crowded during the week. Can't swim here because if rip tides, but beautiful place to catch a sunset over unspoiled beach. Bathrooms are fresh and clean at this park. Wonderful spot. Don't miss it!

It's great in comparison to the East Coast of Florida. This is less travelers and more easy going. Not thousands of people like the East Coast.

A gorgeous Beach with plenty of parking. A beautiful, white sandy beach with gorgeous sunsets. Clean with seashells to be found if one wants to search them out.
