My parents have been going to McCurdy's for years... they have been to all the different locations. McCurdy's is great no matter the location, but the new location is so convenient. We went to see Elaine Boosler recently and it was really fun. The new location is so much better! They have a little bar attached, the Green Room, which... More

We had a blast.... a fun cheap night out!! McCurdy seems to be an actual person, if that's his real name. He himself of a riot!! 2 other comics were on stage and both very different styles and funny. A great night out and would go again.

Have a friend who recently lost her husband, and has been pretty down, so where do you take someone to forget a loss. To the comedy club. This was my first time to Les's new place, but had visited the other place many times, despite it's location. Invited 3 other gals who had not been as well and needless to... More

We went to McCurdy's last night at their new location and it was great! The performers never disappoint and the new place is great. I thought the wine was a little too expensive, considering I ate dinner at Owen's and their wine is less than McCurdy's. But, the show was good and the service was pleasant.

Since April when I wrote a review, McCurdy's has moved downtown. Good move! The Theatre is no longer in a shabby strip mall between a dollar store and pawn shop. the interior of the new theatre stage seems about the same. I would estimate that the seating has increased a bit. There is a bar at the entrance. It's small... More

Loved old venue. Was at new location in June & loved it then. Went tonight. Bought tickets, about $85 for 2 & walked out before show started. Show scheduled for 9:30, got there at 9, got corralled into tiny sweltering bar, bought a drink, got told show was 'delayed' an hour. Pushing people, in bar like sardines, tried to go... More

The new location on Ringling is really nice. Been going for a couple years to the old location and this is a great change! Sometimes they call and offer free tickets to help fill up the club on slower nights! The headliner never disappoints. As usual there is a 2 item purchase minimum. So the "free" tickets aren't really free,... More

Get a good laugh at a great place. Staff is wonderful. I have been there more times than I can count and always had the best time.

McCurdy himself opened the show and was fantastic. The other comics and the headliner were OK. Great atmosphere and location.

I lived in Chicago for 9 years and McCurdys can rival a big city comedy club on certain nights. The opening acts aren't the best but Les McCurdy and the headliners make up for it. It's great that a city the size of Sarasota can attract some of the best comedians in the country to play here. Moving to their... More
