Only place in town for the less commercial movies to be seen. Good selection of art movies. Negative: very small rooms, sometimes you can hear the movie playing in the next room. But it needs to be supported and I recommend it.

Burns offers independent movies on a regular basis. Although small, the screen size was very good with average sound. Seating was average old-school: no padding and leg room was tight for my 6'. Cup holders. Concessions: popcorn, candy (No Hard candies!!!???), water, soda , beer and wine. Prices ok.

There is only one place you can sit in a wheelchair i.e the back row and the space is too small for a standard electric chair. As a result it can affect your enjoyment of the film and is uncomfortable when you have to ask someone else to vacate the only only space you can use. Therefore I only go... More

The theater on Burns Court has been there for as long as I can remember but it has never been fully updated or re-done. The screens are about the size of a large TV screen and the sound from the adjoining theater is sometimes louder than the theater you are in. The movie selections are good. I like the Burns... More

We have been to Burn's Court several times to see some movies before they hit the local theaters. The theater has 3 small theaters inside. It reminds you of the old theaters with the old type seating. A nice feature is the ability to buy beer and wine and bring it into the theater. You don't have to have an... More

this little independent theater (3 screens?) offers artsy and foreign films not found in larger, main-stream theaters. delightful setting on the cutest side-street in sarasota, adjacent to "fish camp" restaurant, dwarfed by huge rainforest tree.

It is important to get tickets early as the best shows draw a large cinema going audience. The theaters are small but seating is comfortable. Their selection of movies is the best. Nearby restaurants are almost all good. The seafood one right next door does not take reservations and may be hard to get seated on the evening of a... More

We get all the best movies thanks to this wonderful film lovers resource. I would encourage resident and long term visitors to become Film Society members and save money on every admission.

My 16 year old son who has type 1 diabetes went to see Divergent this afternoon at Lakewood Ranch Cinemas in Bradenton. He was with a group of other students of similar age most of whom were girls with purses. My son has a leather bag which he uses to carry his diabetic testing supplies and emergency snacks. If you... Yes, we went there to see Wes Anderson's latest movie, "The Grand Budapest Hotel" , while on vacay. Overall the experience was good. You can drink wine and beer here. She did, I didn't. Small art house type theatre, friendly staff, fresh popcorn, mediocre sound. The audio dropped off one of the scenes. Bummer. Guess I'l have to go back... More
