BCC is located in lovely and quaint Burns Court. The film offerings are carefully selected to appeal to an eclectic, culturally more sophisticated clientele. Nearby restaurants provide for a wonderful before or after cinema experience.

Always a lovely experience at Burn's Court Cinema. It is nice to be able to sip a drink before the film and there are few crowds. The film choices are great and go beyond the obvious.

Lakewood Ranch Cinema and Burns Court Cinema are partners within the Sarasota Film Society. The LWR Cinema is an excellent venue to enjoy a good movie (The Hundred Foot Journey). Dinner after a matinee, or late afternoon movie is always an option from many of the restaurants within a 10-15 mile radius. The chairs are comfortable, and wine and beer... More

The movie are Indie and you can get some duds, but I love the intimacy of the theaters. The volunteers are helpful. They have a nice spectrum of films. Give yourself extra time to park. Recommend purchasing tickets in advance and arrive 15 minutes early to be sure you get a seat you like.

We love going to Burns Court for a movie. It's charming and small. The only drawback is parking can be a problem to go early to hunt. We are happy to support The Sarasota Film Society. It is a great value; can't beat the price when you join. Concessions area is always nice; wine is also available. Popcorn is always... More

Only place in town for the less commercial movies to be seen. Good selection of art movies. Negative: very small rooms, sometimes you can hear the movie playing in the next room. But it needs to be supported and I recommend it.

Burns offers independent movies on a regular basis. Although small, the screen size was very good with average sound. Seating was average old-school: no padding and leg room was tight for my 6'. Cup holders. Concessions: popcorn, candy (No Hard candies!!!???), water, soda , beer and wine. Prices ok.

There is only one place you can sit in a wheelchair i.e the back row and the space is too small for a standard electric chair. As a result it can affect your enjoyment of the film and is uncomfortable when you have to ask someone else to vacate the only only space you can use. Therefore I only go... More

The theater on Burns Court has been there for as long as I can remember but it has never been fully updated or re-done. The screens are about the size of a large TV screen and the sound from the adjoining theater is sometimes louder than the theater you are in. The movie selections are good. I like the Burns... More

We have been to Burn's Court several times to see some movies before they hit the local theaters. The theater has 3 small theaters inside. It reminds you of the old theaters with the old type seating. A nice feature is the ability to buy beer and wine and bring it into the theater. You don't have to have an... More
