I have never been so disappointed, it is basically an indoor junkyard. There were a couple of cool cars, but it was moldy, filthy, the roof was leaky and very poorly kept. We learned of this place on a show call Museum men, on the history channel where the museum, a term I use loosely, had a reproduction of the... More

I had seen this museum go through varying stages. My first visit in 1979 when it had a lot of musical machines, along with cars. Eventually it had changed hands and the music machines went away and now it is just a car museum. They have many makes just not seen anywhere else. Many are not restored and some look... More

We were given a guided tour of the amazing and unusual collection by a very knowledgeable docent. There is an great variety of rare exhibits: exotic and famous cars, motorcycles, and historical assorted artifacts. There was so much to see, I would return for another visit.

You'll be through in under an hour, but the collection is diverse including three cars with Beatles pedigree. Some of the cars are shiny clean/restored while others are as-is/where-is, so not all vehicles are museum quality. Some of my favourites included the BMW M1, Ruf 911, Maserati Mexico and Maserati Bora. The fun continues next door at the classic car... More

Quaint little place with an interesting assortment of conveyances. Cars, boats, airplanes kiddie cars and a replica of Abraham Lincoln's funeral coach. We enjoy this kind of stuff and the admission was reasonable.

We have come back to Sarasota for another xmas holiday and found ourselves back at the car museum. Pretty sure there were a couple of new cars on display. As mentioned in other posts, not a huge museum but if you love old cars and want to see a few older exotics too, this is the place to come. I... More

The car museum is opposite the ringling museum and was worth a visit, not very big but takes you down the road of how things have changed in the motor industry, if you are into cars like myself pop in as it's not very expensive

Our Sunshine Chapter of the AACA had the guided tour which is about an hour +. As a group with a high interest in classic, antique autos we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Great collection of vintage cars. Includes cars own by the Ringlings, John Lennon and more. For sports cars buffs there is a Delorean, Lamborghini, and others. The cars are well taken care of and there is a wide variety- something for everyone. I took the tour- the guide was very knowledgable but it took too long.
