Some exceptional vintage cars in the Sarasota Classic Car Museum -- but sadly they are displayed in a tired location that seems to be lacking life. Wonderful staff, but tired signage, lack of air conditioning and a back room with jammed in cars. If you're a car afficionado, you may want to disregard the setting and check out the cars!

This museum had many interesting cars on display, including a Lamborghini, DeLorean, top-fuel dragster and a few Mercedes owned previously by John Lennon. I expected to see some Camaros and Corvettes, but there were none. I'm not sure why there was a model of the Wright Brothers airplane, but it was nice to see.

We had seen this last year when we visited the Ringling across the street, and I promised my boyfriend we would go there this year on our return visit to FL. It was a fun way to spend 11/2 hours checking out so many of the cars we remembered from the 50's and 60's. The lady at the desk sent... More

We were here several times this winter to listen to performers impersonate such greats as Johnny Cash, the Blues Brothers, Elvis and Roy Orbison. It's a fun and inexpensive evening out!

I thought we would be in and out in less than an hour. We stayed two hours. They have cars that traced the development of automobiles, classic cars, histories of the founding fathers of the automobile and more.

I visit this place every time I come to Sarasota, and it's different every time. The basics remain, but there are always interesting new exhibits. If you are interested in cars (or even if you're not!), you will learn a lot from this museum. Admission is reasonable, and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

Can't say that I'm really into classic cars, but my husband wanted to stop by on our Sarasota visit. I'm really glad we did. We had the best time reading the history and looking at all of the memorabilia. I think I ended up enjoying it more than he did. What a great collection. We've told several people about this... Opps, on my previous review. This museum gets 5 stars. This was a great experience for my 12 year old nephew. Lots of unique cars in a lovely setting.
