We attended the show(s) last night, and it was as good an evening of theatre that we have ever been to. It was an evening like none we have been to before. It started with the cast singing Christmas Carols in Victorian dress, in the yard. We then went into the Lounge for a rendition of Dicken's Christmas Carol, performed... More

I went to a wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate. It was so beautiful! It was a smaller wedding since it was held on the back patio, but inside was gorgeous and the outside gave such a gorgeous view!

You probably never heard of Powel Crosley and knew even less about his Newport-like mansion on the east side of Sarasota Bay across from the Bradenton/Sarasota Airport, a short distance north of the Ringling Estate. But Crosley is worth knowing about and his estate is worth visiting. Built in 1929, a few years after Ringling's more famous Ca' d'Zan, Crosley's... More

I had never heard of the Estate before however I ran across an advertisement for a mystery theater show being held there so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a shot. It started out a bit crowded but once the main introductions were done and everyone split up into the separate show rooms it was quite pleasant. The... More

We did not eat the dinner but did do the event priced tickets. This was their first NYE roaring 20's event from what we understood. The estate is very interesting, there were several tents set up and most of the event was outside. It was a very chilly evening but still fun. There were several cash bars throughout and cigar... We went to the Powel Crosley Estate for their first ever New Year's eve celebration on 12/31/13. It was a speakeasy theme, staying true to the era that this mansion was built (1929). Milan Catering provided the food and it was delicious! It was served family style. The menu listed on the website wasn't exactly what was served, however. Not... More

We attended a wedding and found both the environs and the mansion elegant and charming. As a venue, it is a risk some feel worth taking. The wedding we attended was going to be held outside, but it was moved inside due to rain. The transition from ceremony to reception was handled well, but it can be difficult to manage... More

I have worked at Powell-Crossley many times. There are several things to consider about this facility, especially if you are considering it as a wedding facility. First, it is beautiful, especially in the spring (March & April) and fall (October & November) when you can be outside. The downside is that this area has a problem with love bugs during... More

The load in and parking of supplies and equipment is terrible. Set up for outside is risky, watch cold breezy during Nov - March rain April, Mayand and very humid summer months. So be careful as the heat will scuk the breath out of you. also watch the bugs and have insect repellant. If you have a band to play... More

We attended a wedding here and the views of the bay at sunset were gorgeous. The estate is reminiscent of a villa in Tuscany. Very romantic inside. Very interesting house and grounds.
