Tatum Ridge is a nice little course out past I-75. New electric carts, adequate Pro shop with good quality rental clubs available (I got Callaways), rates are very reasonable. It's never crowded, nicely kept, not PGA but some interesting holes, lots of wildlife, and the gators pretty much keep to themselves. Staff is very friendly, no drama, good snack bar... More

A not-too-challenging course, although with a few holes that require decision-making. All skill levels can enjoy the round. Fairways are green and soft, for the most part. Even errant shots aren't too much trouble. Greens are OK, with some rough spots on each, and slow rolling. Tee boxes are in need of repair. Pace of play was reasonable...four+ hours with... More

This is a nice, straightforward golf course with no trick holes, but a couple of holes that require risk/reward decisions (take the safe route or go for the long carry over water. Tees for all skill levels. Honest greens, plush fairways, decent sand in the bunkers. Club house staff are friendly. Good practice area, including both putting and chipping greens.... More

Tatum Ridge is a very good, older track. Prices are reasonable, nice variety of holes. Pretty good pace of play. It is not a designer course but rather a solid choice. Restrooms on the course leave much to be desired.

Played here several times during September 2014 vacation from Fife Scotland and absolutely loved the course. It is not a links course as we in Scotland know them however it is an excellent test of golf that was in very good condition. I am a 11 handicap and found the course an interesting challenge from the various tees, it is... More

Played the course with my son. I bet this course was great in its heyday. But now it's not maintained well. Fairways were green but every hill was brown in the fairway. Like it was cut too short. Tee boxes are brown will little to no grass on them. The greens were good but very very slow. Now it was... More

If you're looking for a place to practice. This is it. Beautiful range excellent balls and fair prices. You can hit off of groomed grass and at precise target distances. A very large putting and chipping green, and the sand traps to practice from. For a public course they have it all and it's Always in excellent condition.

My wife and my 2 young children (and I) went for a late afternoon golf outing on a beautiful fall summer day. We were aware that daylight was limited but were planning on playing until dusk. The ranger insisted shortly after (paying for a full nine holes) and playing that we needed to cut our play short in spite of... More

We have been playing and eating at Tatum Ridge for several years. The course is varied and always in great condition. The staff - from the guys who greet you at the car, to the pro shop, to the cafe, are all welcoming and helpful. The prices are very reasonable. The grill is super and worth a trip on its... More

Tatum Ridge Golf is a hidden jewel in Sarasota. Golf ambassadors meet you at your can and unload your clubs and give you your cart. The staff is very friendly. The Club House, while not elegant is clean, airey and serves the best hamburgers in town. The course itself is challenging without being ridiculously long or difficult. Very well maintained... More
