My partner and I loved this two hour boat trip around Sarasota Bay, showing the surrounding mansions and tiny islands where dolphins leap out of the water next to your boat.

We both tickets for both Mote Aquarium and a cruise with Sarasota Bay Explorers. It was a fantastic experience. Jessica and Scott were our guides. Both are knowledgeable of the bay in their own different way. I love the view of the mansions while the children were taken by the fishes, dolphins and sea horses that Jessica and Scott showed... I took my sons, ages 12 and 14, on the Nature Safari. The biologist, Jennifer, was very informative and we learned a lot about the sea life found in this area. We live here and still learned things that we did not know before. Sarasota Bay is beautiful, so it was nice that most of the time was spent on... More

Very enjoyable 3 hour boat tour. Captain Dan was very nice, well informed and intent on assuring we enjoyed our trip. Originally, we were considering renting our own boat but am glad we went this route. You really need someone with knowledge of the depths of the water to make sure you don't run into a sandbar in the area.... More

The tour was really nice, Kayla our marine biologist did a great job educating us about the sea life, birds, and the bay. On our trip 2 Dolphins were swimming nearby. They are licensed to put a net out and bring in some neat sea life to share before putting them back. On our trip there were pin fish, pig... More

Bought the combo ticket, presented a coupon, got my discount and my wife and I enjoyed a lovely day both on the water with Bay Explorers and at Mote's. Both attractions offered very knowledgeable staff who answered most questions. The pontoon boat experience was very good, aided by a gorgeous sunny day on the Bay. The Aquarium is quite informative... More

We went on this cruise on a Sunday afternoon the last week of August. Although there were many kids on the boat, my four year old son was bored out of his mind. There was just not enough going on to keep him entertained. We saw a couple dolphins, but very briefly. The stop on a small island was really... More

We purchased a aquarium/bay explorers combo ticket. We got to see Dolphins swimming, and the naturalist pulled some of the wildlife out of the bay in a net to show what was in the bay. They also take you by a tiny island loaded with sea birds. It was informative, interesting and fun. Kids would be oaky with this, I... More

We did the Sea Life Encounter Cruise, and it was excellent. We had biologist Keeli and Mote volunteer Dave (the Parrothead), and both were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were also great with the small children (of whom we had several) as well as the older kids. I sympathize with earlier reviewers who didn't see as much as they liked,... More

While I did not have children on this tour, several people did, and the tour conductors were very accomodating to the youngsters (an emergency diaper change caused a delay that infuriated the crew). the kids 8 and older had an enjoyable time; the younger kids were bored easily due to the lack of animal sightings. for the cost of this...
