It is amazing that this mansion was built in the 1920's and it is in such great shape. Take the tour of the second floor, well worth your $5

The entrance fee includes a walk through downstairs and well worth a look, plus such a bay front view lets you imagine what it would be like to travel and have this to come home to. There are guided tours at an extra charge to view the entire home. We did not choose to take it, but if you haven't... More

I believe this to be one of the most beautiful places in Sarasota. To think of how well they lived and and that they had visit them in the early 1900s. To see this place is wonderful and to see it at Sunset is absolutely magical. The way the sun bounces off the water onto the mansion is incredible. I... More

We take every out-of-town guest to see this 'pearl by the sea'. Truly, a step back in time. It's great to go through with a docent but if you don't want to pay extra or you're on a timed schedule, you can go through on your own. Pay the extra $$ to see the upstairs.

Nice place to visit and sit to watch the bay and birds if it is not summer. The house is very well maintained and it is a beautiful piece of history. The gardens around are also very nice.

This is part of the Ringling complex. A great peek into the life of the rich. John Ringling was truly a generous person!

Anyone visiting The Ringling, the remarkable legacy of circus owner, art collector and financer John Ringling, has to make at least three stops--at Ca'D'Zan, the Ringlings' massive and ornate 56-room palace on Sarasota Bay; the Circus Museum, which recalls how the circus world was in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s; and the Museum of Art, which houses the Ringlings' massive... What an amazing place! This was the site of the movie- Great Expectations, which paid for the renovations. The whole site shows the home, worth the extra $ to go upstairs. There is an amazing art gallery on site, plus a circus museum, rose gardens, plus a fabulous view of the bay. Do go!

Where John Ringling and his wife Mabel spent their winter months. Spectacular setting on the bay in Sarasota and you can feel the atmosphere of the gala parties that must have happened frequently when they were in town. An interesting journey back in time to the early 1900's before and during the great depression.

The craftsmanship in and around this house is fantastic. She had a good eye for collecting the right stuff.
