The house was interesting, the grounds were more interesting. Definitely pay the extra for the docent tour of the house.

Ca d'Zan mansion is incredible. It is decorated with most of the original furnishings and the guided tours are a must. The tours cost $5/person in addition to the admission to the Ringling Museum. This is a must see site and well worth the cost.

Wonderful place to visit and to see the Rose Garden. Love the old charm of Sarasota and the grounds to walk on .

John Ringling had an infatuation with Venice, and this treasure mirrors what you find in Italy. When touring the mansion stop frequently to imagine what this place was like during its hey-day.

Visit my review of the Ringling Museum. Ca d'Zan is the former home of John and Mabel Ringling. Go to the RINGLING and then go next door to Ca d"Zan. You will thoroughly enjoy.

The mansion is beautiful. On the third Thursday of each month there is music and dancing on the terrace and grounds. What a wonderful way to watch the sun set over Sarasota bay.

Part of the Ringling Estate and worthy of a visit...just jaw dropping luxury for the wealthy in the 1930s

I enjoyed this Sarasota landmark! It was truly beautiful. The upstairs tour was completely worth the extra money. The back of the home is a beautiful surprise!

you will need walking shoes, to really enjoy the entire promenade. Lovely all the way. The glass doors are impressive- original colors, the small columns that surround the terrace outside, they have a distinctive pattern, they only repeat pattern every six or so. fabulous architecture.

Docent tour of Ca d'Zan for an extra fee was worth every penny. Personal tour with 6 or less to John and Mabel Ringling bedrooms, entertainment areas not seen on regular tour. Amazing history of the 1920s. Buy a book at the bookstore to read the history of the circus. A short walk or tram to Art museum and you... More
