A very nice trail, in nature. The trail provides opportunity to marvel at nature along the way. Not very busy. It also crosses very few roads so you are not interrupted much at all and get to ride peacefully. If you enjoy rails to trails, this is your opportunity. Safe with kids...

The trail is a nice bike ride. We like to go all the way down to Venice. There is one small snack shop near the south side of the trail if you need to stop for a protein, bar, gatorade, or ice cream and to use the restroom. I do not know of any eating establishments close to the trail... More

Nice place to run or ride your bike. A couple places you have to cross the road, but other than that, pretty isolated. A couple of covered picnic benches along the route. Not the best for scenery, but we like to get the miles in biking without having to share the road with cars.

We went to try the trail. It is wide and nicely paved. The weather was perfect, and we saw alot of wild life, not alot of human traffic. I really enjoyed the trip.

This is fantastic and is the best way to squeeze in fitness and nature. We rode bikes for 4 miles and wished to go farther, we were just worried about getting back too. Several parking lots to pick at and on the trail there are parks to stop at, benches, porta pots, and somewhat secluded. Suggest not going alone, without... More

If you like walking, running, biking, or skating, then this is the place for you. This is an asphalt trail that starts in Palmer Ranch off McIntosh Road. It basically runs in a straight line all the way to venice. it's a pretty smooth service, so great for all of the above. There is plenty of wildlife to see along... More

Great trail to experience old Florida while venturing from near Siesta Key almost 10 miles to Venice. Easy access from many points and benches and tables along the way. I didn't see any wildlife, but loved the scenic excursion.

Beautiful ride! Flat as can be and very easy. Enjoyed it everyday we stayed in this area. Easy to get to. We biked over to it as town as nice bike lanes.
