Charming mini zoo; very family friendly

Very charming garden walk with nice variety of tropical birds, a few alligators, and a great spot to feed flamingos. Well maintained, clean facility. Ideal for kids 4-8.

The grounds are so nicely kept and it was such a nice opportunity to visit and interact with a variety of animals. We are looking forward to returning. The gift shop could have a better variety of lower cost items for children.

This is a gem of a little place. One of the last vestiges of the quirky little roadside attractions that used to litter our state giving it it's unique....character. Family friendly, several animal shows (educational and humane), nice gardens area.

Fed the flamingos and was able to see two presentations on birds and reptiles. Walked through most of the area and was pleased with the variety. Grand kids 9 and 13 were kept interested so that was good.

Florida is more than Disney, Universal, Sea World, etc. What?! That may be incomprehensible to many people. You tell people that you are going to Florida and they assume, "You must be going to Disney World." I've been going to Florida for 57 years, since 1958. Orange County and Orlando has been the headquarters for nearly all of my trips.... More

Best attraction in Sarasota for families. A lot of the garden is tree covered so it is comfortable even in very hot weather

My husband and I had a wonderful morning Sarasota Jungle Garden. We enjoyed the lovely walkways throughout the Garden and all the birds and animals throughout the pathways. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stroll. At one point a flamingo strolled right up to me and I got some beautiful pictures. Since we are grandparents to a 13 year... More

My husband and I went checking out this site for the grandchildren. It was small and very clean with lush vegetation. I think it has been around since the thirties and maybe a family owned business, it was like a portion of a larger zoo. It had 35 small alligators who actually seemed to have personalities plus other large alligators,... More

Jungle Gardens is a great inexpensive family animal park in a quiet Sarasota neighborhood. Explore walking paths highlighting several species of birds located throughout the grounds. There are bird and reptile shows scheduled daily - showcasing the many species sequestered at the park. Perhaps the highlight of this 'tropical adventure' though, is walking among and feeding the flamingos - an... More
