We visited during January and could not have been more disappointed. Water was dirty in every exhibit. You could not see any animals that were caged, b/c the mesh was so tiny and the cage so dark. There was no explanation about how they came to own some animals, such as the hawk kept in a cage so small it... More

I had visited this place as a kid back in the 80's. Now grown up, I went back. With the exception of the brick walkways, it does feel like a jungle without the dagerous animals attacking you.

I brought my 11 year old son here for the day and had a great time. We really enjoyed the 3 different short animal and bird presentations as well as the trails and flamingo feeding opportunity. The flamingos are very tame because they are hand raised and feeding them was a lot of fun. The colorful macaws, owls, cockatoos, and... More

If you are looking for a zoo, this is not the place for you although there are animals here. Mainly alligators and flamingos. And some exotic birds. For a jungle, though, it's lacking monkeys. There are some, but not many. To me, what makes this place well worth visiting, are the grounds. They are beautifully landscaped with many paths taking... More

My husband and I just visited here. It was full of kids celebrating birthdays. The parrot show was well attended and feeding the flamingos is fun. We didn't do the reptile building but I'm sure if this is your area, it will be worth it.

I was bit disappointed with this place. The cages where the animals and birds were kept were, in my opinion, small. Some of the cages were empty too though this may be down to cleaning or maintenance. The jungle gardens was a beautiful place though and there were two displays where a keeper was displaying some of the birds and... More

Jungle Gardens has been here since 1937, which means many of the trees, ferns, and plants are over 75 years old. Huge old trees that size are hard to come by and the profusion you can walk through here is humbling. The wide trails of brick pavers are both attractive and highly functional. We arrived just in time to see... More

We enjoyed our stroll through the thick, well kept jungle gardens and we disconnected from the outside world. We were disappointed that most of the birds were not in their enclosures to see, but we also went later in the day. One of us is deathly afraid of Alligators, so we didn't visit that area. It would be worth a... More

The kids liked it - they let the kids interact with the birds and even hold them Budget about 2 hours then head to the beach or Miniature golf

Another of our wonderful hidden gems! I have been getting a seasons pass for 30 years now, and I keep going back, now with my grandchildren. It is beautiful with winding brick paver walkways, a bird show, a reptile show featuring alligators and a snake to pet. The parrot show is amazing. The huge flock of flamingos that you can... More
