The gardens themselves are pleasant and shaded but you can not see many of the birds or wildlife. It would appear that the safety of both animals/birds and the viewing public means heavy fencing which you can not see through. We went with teens, I think this would be more suitable for younger children who could enjoy the shows. Not... More

I was here for my nephew's 3rd birthday party. We all had a blast even though it was raining outside. We were able to feed the pink flamingos, and we were able to watch to animal shows. Its on about 10 acres of land, and the trails are very nice to walk around. I look forward on coming back, on... More

My sister and I had not been there in years but still enjoyed the sites. We only spent 2 hours but a family with children could easily spend more time since there is a lot to see and enjoy.

We absolutely loved this place! Pleasantly surprised by the amount of foilage to keep you shaded. Beautiful animals, exibits, gift shop and plants. We would highly recommend this place for a three or 4 hour venture.

Visited Sarasota Jungle Garden in July 2015, and we had a great time! It was fun to see and feed both crocodiles and flamingos, and both our toddler and the adults enjoyed our time here😊 Would absolutely recommend this to families with kids.

Sarasota Jungle Gardens is a local treasure that most every Sarasota resident has visited at least once. Its large but not too big and full of winding paths through well groomed gardens leading to different animals, birds and flora. Kids will love it. The highlight are the "free roaming" flamingos that you can feed and the wonderful exotic birds that... More
