Well, if you are into Jungle Plants this is the place to be. Asides from long walks through mosquito laden jungle plants there is not a lot to see here. There are sporadic animals placed throughout the jungle, none of which appeared to be in any mood to do anything other than sleep. The highlight is the flamingos where you... More

What a Great Day! Not too hot(78) under the palms, even though it was 97 in the parking lot. We really enjoyed the fish in the ponds and the streams that flow throughout the park. The petting zoo was a hit with everyone I saw. We ate at the Cafe' and each had a Chef Salad. Delicious!! They were so... More

We visited Sarasota Jungle Gardens for probably the fifth time today with my seven year old. It's been a couple years since we were here last and there are now quite a few more reptiles and birds than when we visited originally. There is a bird show and reptile show at least twice a day where the animals are fed... More

My parents took me here when I was 6 years old and I remember thinking it was very cool. Well today I took my family back, 37 years later, and we had a blast! The shows, especially the bird show, was fabulous. The Flamingo Cafe was nice and the grounds themselves were wonderfully interesting. Lots of shade also and just... More

Very nice low key gardens that were not crowded or over commercialized. Make sure to bring plenty of quarters so you can feed the animals from the self serve dispensers. For me, being able to hand feed the flamingos was worth the admission. The trails through the jungle were very beautiful too. I would have given this place 5 stars... More

This is a Old Florida treasure and a "must" visit while in Sarasota. Be sure to wear some comfortable walking shoes.

This place is rather small but a great hole in the wall place. We use to have annual memberships here but now that we have been so many times it lost it's excitement. We still visit time to time. My girls are much bigger now whereas when they were younger they never got tired of feeding the flamingos or playing... More

My absolute favorite park of Jungle Gardens is that you can get up close to the Flamingos! They eat right out of your hand! There are also bird shows and alligator shows. It is geared toward young children, but I love it!
