Excellent performance, first time I have seen Carmen full-length, and the courtyard for intermission is the most charming I have experienced at any theater. More

What an incredable asset to our Sarasota cultural scene. Only complaint is that far too big a portion of the season is often devoted to obscure works. That may make the Sarasota Opera the darling of the opera world, but it does not do much for ordinary opera lovers More

The opera itself is usually well done, and the voices are good. But the theater itself id extremely uncomfortable. Too many rows of seats crammed into too small a space. No leg room. No room to pass. If I can't get aisle seats or a box, I pass on the opera altogether. More

Lucia di Lammermoor, Otello, Carmen and Vanessa , a wonderful experience to see in the beautiful theatre. There is not a bad seat in the house, comfortable seating and gorgeous surroundings. I am from Canada... More

I can think of very few cities as small as Sarasota that has art as big as NY... the opera house is gorgeous and acoustically wonderful. Great talents. More
