Went here for a day visit. Large area with camping facilities, trails of varying lengths, bike and canoe hire. There is an Airboat ride on the large lake, where you can see alligators and plenty of birdlife. Unfortunately, on the way back the heavens opened, and we were all huddled to one side with the float/cushions shielding us from the... More

Fl has many nice state parks. We are trying to visit as many as possible while living here. We stayed for several days in the newer campground. The sites were very nice with great services. The bath houses were immaculate. We went on the airboat tour and the tram ride. Just loved the quaintness of it all. Canoes and bikes... More

Love everything about Myakka. Airboat ride particularly fun with humorous informative guides. Wildlife spectacular!

What a great place to go if you enjoy the outdoors and nature. Lots of nature trails, gators, FL birds and other critters. Take the boat ride and bring your camera. You'll be sure to be able capture a gator (with the camera that is). Oh yes, the cafe has wonderful food. Not just hot dogs and burgers. They have... More

Alligators .. alligators ... alligators ... You can't count them all! This place is great because, for the most part, it has been left in the natural "old Florida" state. You will probably see wild boars rooting around for food. You will see many different species of birds, and, of course, you will see all the alligators - of all... More

Loved the Myakka River State Park and the airboat tour that we took. We went in the afternoon and saw quite a few aligators, lots of different birds, and other wildlife including deer! I would recommend you go in the morning as they say more aligators can be viewed in the cooler mornings than the hotter afternoons. The tours are... More

I went here last week with my parents and grandparents. There is something to do for folks of all activity levels, and you can stay for a few hours, all day, or even camp overnight. The drive through the park is beautiful - you don't even have to leave your vehicle. The Visitor's Center has some really neat displays. They... More

A great place to stay!! Park has RV sites with electric and water and another area that has sewer connection and graveled vs the natural sites. We rode our bikes all over park. Easy access trails off of a paved road. The Canopy Walkway and 75ft tower were great. Many animals to see: gators( saw a12 footer sunning on the... More
