We love this area - 30A - scenic, quiet, yet full of nightlife if you're interested. Nothing over 3 stories as it is all a planned community area, and each town has its own unique architecture and flavor. It seems very community like, but very upscale. Lots of biking, water sports, beautiful beaches, great shopping and art, lots of local... More

I loved the fact that it was a quieter beach and not commercialized. It had some unique shops and restaurants

After several visits to Santa Rosa Beach, with side trips to the other little towns along 30-A, there is no doubt that this is the place to be. We find Seaside, Seagrove, Watercolor, etc. too claustrophobic. We find Destin and Ft. Walton too busy and commercial. Santa Rosa is unpretentious and offers something for everyone. The restaurants are fabulous. Traffic... More

My wife and I visited Santa Rosa Beach this past week. We like the area, although not as much as many of the previous reviewers. I read a lot of complaints about Destin's traffic and lack of parking. But I've lived in Okaloosa County for over a decade, and there are very few people who spend more time there than... More

I really don't like crowded, hectic beaches, and Santa Rosa was neither. It was really clean, beautiful, peaceful and simply great. You can walk long distances and there's always something to see. Perfect for couples or families!

This is our second visit to the Panhandle. We so enjoyed our visit two years ago in November. The gulf is so beautiful and tranquil. The "calm" waves are enjoyable as well as the tiny fish that swim around your feet in the surf. The sand is so white and easy to walk on. However, little did we know that... More

We had a great time chillaxing at Santa Rosa Beach. The powdery white sand and clear gulf waters are almost like the Caribbean Island beaches but much closer to home. The beach chair and umbrella services are outstanding and reliable.

wide white sand beaches, warm surf, at times placid, at times rough. dramatic weather changes during our visit. interesting architecture of houses along the beach. great walking trails in the watercolor resort community area. this area, totally unknown to us prior to our visit, was a wonderful vacation spot.
