We saw "Tom and Henry Go Camping". It was well done. The theatre only holds about 80-100 people, so all seats are good. THE CAVEAT: the box office is on Dunlop Road, but the theatre is on Periwinkle Way. If we hadn't scoped it out the afternoon before, we would have been searching all over Dunlop for it. The building... More

Although we are long-time Sanibel visitors, we had never visited either theatre in the BIG-Arts complex. But, this year, staying longer into January and invited by our guest, we attended both the "Camping with Henry and Tom" play and the Slo-can Ramblers Bluegrass concert. Both the smaller and larger theaters were comfortable and well suited to these performances. And both... More

While visiting friends on the island they had purchased tickets for the play "Camping with Henry and Tom" . The play ,the actors and the theater itself was very enjoyable. We were fortunate enough to go to opening night. Unfortunately our friends had purchased tickets to see Livingston Taylor which was at the larger auditorium. Rather than going on and... More

Art exhibits, music, theater and dance performances and film and lecture series. Most of the activities are during winter season. Visual art exhibited is very high caliber by local artists!

Big Arts offers many options, from lectures during season, great music selections and classes offered by retired professors. Big Arts is a must for those who are interested in cultural and intellectual stimulation. It also offers art and computer classes.

We really enjoyed this show. Strong performers in a small theater on Sanibel Island where every seat is close to the stage. Kudos!

Sanibel is so fortunate that the "movers and shakers" on the Island saw fit to organize a BigArts Center that brings all manner of culture to our little piece of paradise. There is a very full calender of events available so that music lovers of all sorts are satisfied with concerts in every type of music...jazz, classical, contemporary, country, folk.... More

Convenient mid-island location directly on Periwinkle Place. Grounds are pristine. We toured 2 art shows and viewed the outdoor sculptures. Bought a few pieces of jewelry - hand made and affordable! Staff is very friendly and informative. There is a theater on the property with many types of shows. Location of Sunday morning farmer's market - best ever!
