Nice, fully equipped library. I attended two lectures given by two world war II experts that were standing room only and extremely informative. I wish their rooms were larger so more people could be seated for their presentations. Great place to find a quiet corner and read, use their wireless network, or just chill out.

The Sanibel Library is very attractive, clean, modern, welcoming, and comfortable. The staff members are pleasant and exceptionally helpful. There is a good selection of books and other resources, even tables of games. The computers are outstanding and very fast. Bathrooms are pleasant, clean and well stocked with the basics such as paper towels.

We were very impressed with this library. There is an expansive display of seashells as you enter the building. If you sew a visitor you are able to get a visitor library card for $10. With this card you can take out books, use the computers, take out DVDs and even a tote bag with special pans so you can... More

Best bargain on the island. For $10 membership get full borrowing privileges, DVDs included. Our grandchildren didn't want to leave the children's department with their area of games and puzzles.

I have been going to the Sanibel Library for years and it truly is a beautiful building, from the shell display in the lobby to the screened porch with rocking chairs. It is an excellent diversion on a rainy day with books and free WIFI. You can also check out DVD's, CD's etc... The displays inside from shell art to... More

We went to the library several times due to the rains and found it very well stocked with current and past books for all ages. Very large and accessible for handicap folks. Staff most helpful as well.

I loved our visit to the library in the rain last week. I loved the layout and the ability to be able to sit in a screened in porch on a rocking chair to read a book. I also loved the art displays.

Great shell collections at entrance and throughout library, local paintings (for sale!) on wall, cheap beach reads for in sale room for a buck or so. Don't miss the hidden screened-in reading porch upstairs with rockers and the great-value canvas beach bags for sale for only $15--I stocked up on Christmas gifts!

Very nice shell collection right in the entrance of the library! All for Free! This is a newer building set back a ways from Periwinkle street, I rode my bike to it easily. There are 2 glass cases flanking the entryway loaded with museum grade shell specimens. Even if the library is closed you can still see them through the... More
