On a rainy day, this is a nice place to stop! It is in an attractive setting and there are computers you may use, as well as books and activities to browse.

A very nice library that we visit at least once a week when we're on Sanibel. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Discovered this gem on my last visit. After several rainy days I was looking for a new indoor activity. The staff is welcoming and helpful to island visitors. There are delightful reading porches facing the back wooded lots with screens, overhead fans and rocking chairs. Peaceful way to spend an afternoon rainy or not!

As an almost full-time resident of Sanibel, I find it very comforting to know that the library is here for our use. A great selection of regional books; plants, animals, birds, trails, maps, historical, etc It's always a pleasure to come here. The staff is wonderful and friendly. When you visit Sanibel take the time to seethe library

This is the nicest library I have ever visited. Money would not expect the little island of Sanibel to have such an outstanding place. Not only is it a large library, you can get visitors passes. The passes affords you to go to Baileys Shell Museum free, but other discounts with your visitors card. The library has free computers, printers,... More

The Sanibel Public Library is a relatively small, cozy library which is perfect for curling up with a book in . As an added bonus, we were there during the library's book sale. A buck a bag for all the books that you can read. What's better than that?

Best library I've ever been to - librarians are actually friendly! Great selection of books and nifty cooking kits to borrow. They have something for everyone - books, puzzles, games, movies, music...selection is awesome.

This library really was special. You could fill a bag with books to purchase for only a dollar. They also offered free shells for the taking. My kids really enjoyed the children's section and the catalog display of shells. The librarians were really nice.
