Anita gave us a very informative tour of the botanical gardens at Sanibel Moorings. She is the master gardener who cultivates this beautiful landscape. I learned so much about what grows in this tropical climate. I would recommend this tour for adults.

There is a self-guided tour, but I highly recommend taking the tour, preferably hosted by the Head Gardener, Anita! You'll get a lot more wonderful information about the natural balance, the native plants, trees and flowers in this garden! All for a nominal fee of $5! Enjoyable, informative and fun! If you love nature, flowers and walking in a garden... More

My Son and his Wife's family stayed several months ago at the Moorings. My Sister and I stayed at the Sanibel Inn which is near this Resort. We rode our bikes over to the Moorings and went into the Office. They were very friendly and encouraged us to explore the grounds and the Botanical Gardens. Wow, a beautiful area to... More

It was a nice stroll in and around the Mooring Condos looking at their beautifully landscaped grounds with many plants not seen everywhere. You should take the tour with someone if you really want to know more about what you're looking at (it's offered once a week, I think), but we just strolled through. We used our smart phones and... Well stocked and clean. We immediately upgraded to a second floor water view--would recommend..the kayak option was overrated.. Boats need TLC and not inviting stored along a wall of units. Office staff warm, friendly and very accommodating. And the botanical garden easily a two hour stroll.. Very well done. Would definitely go back.. Be prepared for lots of traffic and... More

When you tire of the sand and sun, this is a nice alternative! Located at the quiet end of Gulf Drive, eastern end.

Pretty mini botanical garden that is labeled - you can walk around Sanibel housing that shows off all the hard work that the gardener's have put in. Great photo opportunity. Friendly staff. Not a botanical garden in a city type expectation but yet still lovely and enjoyable. I was prepared for this as I read the reviews beforehand.

Wonderful garden and well worth the visit. Anita Force Marshall Head Gardener at the Sanibel Moorings Resort was very knowledge and gave a wonderful tour. The garden is well kept and updated on a continuing basis. The fee charged for the tour is used for use in the garden.

We were really looking forward to visiting here however didn't realize it was closed on Saturdays, we walked around it anyways, and there wasn't really much to see there.
