I signed my two kids - 8 & 10 - up for an afternoon class on Squid and Octopi. They weren't thrilled to go to "school" on vacation, but they had an absolute blast once they got there. They even had a chance to dissect a squid! We heard about the class and all they learned the rest of the... More

We dropped off our daughter for one morning, 9-12, price $55, seems pretty high to show the kids some sea animals and a few drawings, but she enjoyed it, the lady who was running it was a bit sour. Not sure we'd put her in again.

We arrived in town with an excited 8 year old ready for his first Sanibel Sea School experience. He was already an experienced summer camper, but this was his first visit to the Sanibel Sea School. Great and curious staff, fantastic learning and activities, and zero hesitation regarding future attendance. Know how we know it was good? He was bummed... More

While visiting the island this week we thought it would be a wonderful adventure for our grandson to participate in the sea school program, especially after reading so many wonderful reviews. We were a little apprehensive leaving him also, especially since he is only 6. When we picked him up a few hours later he was one happy wet camper and... More

As first time visitors on holiday from the uk to Sanibel we wanted for our son (10) to spend some time doing some activities related to the island environment. We were initially aprehensive about leaving him in the care of others whilst so far from home but our fears were immediately forgotten when we arrived and he got settled in.... More

I called Sanibel Sea School as I wanted my grandchildren to participate during our one week stay. They were a little young for the class, 4 and 5 age requirement was 6. The school recommended that I call about 2 weeks prior to arrival and if the class size was small they would allow them to attend. Once accepted the... More

This is the third summer our daughter has attended Sanibel Sea School. It is an excellent program! The children become stewards of the ocean and of the ecosystem. It is far more than just a day camp. It is a fun adventure in learning and unique experience in teamwork building. It's also a lot of fun! The kids love surfing,... More

My younger brother (11 years old) was so happy that he went to the sea school! He couldn't stop talking about how much fun the seahorse half-day program was. "I totally want to go back!!" Was the first sentence out of his mouth.

Our granddaughter went to Sanibel Sea School at age ten insecure, and unhappy. She blossomed into a confident, lovely, knowledgeable young woman after attending over the years as both a camper, and Counselor in Training. She recently graduated from high school. Her love, respect and understanding of the sea around us is awesome ! Friendships made with the exceptional staff... More

Mrs Travel. Thanks for your kind words, we are very proud of, and strongly connected to, our community of young people - our little ocean tribe. It is an honor and privilege to engage with them and watch them grow and realize their potential. Thank you for your trust and engagement, and please continue to enjoy our oceans. Doc Bruce More
