Just wish we had been warned about the extreme amount of traffic, especially when we tried to exit Sanibel for the mainland on this Tuesday afternoon. We tried twice, at about 3pm and again about 5pm, to exit the island and it... More

We went there on a Sunday-they are open 7 days a week. They were friendly and very helpful. We received a local newspaper , maps and restaurant menus. I would make this my first stop on the island.

I always need to get information before I begin an adventure. The Chamber of Commerce stop was perfect for me. I was met as I entered by a welcoming staff member who, after listening to my needs/wants quickly provided me with a booklet and map that he marked with all I needed to know to spend time on Sanibel Island.... The Sanibel and Captiva Chamber of Commerce is the first building you come to after crossing the causeway. This is an absolute must. Inside they have all the information you could want on what to do on Sanibel. There are brochures on every hotel, restaurant, activities, wedding venue, tide schedules, maps of the Island to help you get around, and... More

We stayed a night on our way to explore the everglades. Our room and the hotel were clean. The staff were polite and the guest book sharing where to eat, find fun activities, etc. was very helpful!
