The lighthouse is nice to see. The fishing pier is right there as well. Need to pay to park to get to this beach and it does get full. Glad I went though.

Right on the beach on the very beautiful Sanibel Beach. Water was nice. We saw dolphins jumping in the waves and all kinds of fish. Very beautiful.

This light house isn't the typical lighthouse, that is made out of stone and stairs. Just made out of metal.

Clearly one of the top spots on the island because parking is always so difficult! Get there early or be prepared to drive in circles waiting for someone else to leave. Always enjoyable with areas to walk and explore, super clean beach and great water and vies for all to enjoy!

Worth going for the beach or pier, but lighthouse is pathetic, cannot go inside and basically looks like utility pole with light on top. Parking is a nightmare after 10 am.

As the title suggests, the pier was about the best feature we found. For us, the shelling did not compare with what we had found on Bowman's beach, which we had visited the previous morning. But I would have to defer to the opinions of the locals on that point. We arrived at 7:15 am, and there were already folks... More

A little history: The Sanibel Island Light House is the first lighthouse on Florida's Gulf coast north of Key West and the Dry Tortugas. Although somewhat plain it does have it's own charm and of course it makes a wonderful backdrop for pictures from the beach.

Dolphins, mantes, Sea Stars and shells shells and more shells I think this must be my favorite Beach on Sanibel You can see the dolphin Family's play about every day, the mantes are in touching reach , playing in the water. The ocean may be deeper on day when high tide, but then there is times it is so low... More

This was by far one of our favorite beaches on the island (we visited them all). There is a ton of parking compaired to the others, it is the closest to the causeway bridge and the beach is wide enough to fit 3 rows of people if need be. It is a short walk to the beach from parking and... More
