We spent Monday 1/5/09 on Lighthouse Beach. It was probably our favorite beach in Sanibel - not as many shells as on the other beaches, but the water was much better here - clearer and not as wavey. $6 toll bridge + $2 hour parking makes this an expensive free tour. Must make many trips to the island to find anything. more
Sanibel island is located right off Fort Myers which can only be accessed by a tolled bridge. ($6US as of August 2007) Light house is located at the public beach which is closet to the bridge.
