My family and I went to this area not really knowing what to expect, and we were very glad we did. The view is breathtaking. We seen dolphins, a sea cucumber, all kinds of birds and tons of shells. This is now one of your favorite places!!!

We love the lighthouse area. There is a long fishing pier. This visit we watched as a fisherman unhooked a huge stingray he had just caught. In the past, we have found lots of different shells...none this time. But, we saw a beautiful nest of 3 Osprey and I was able to get some great photos of the birds flying... More

very old, not really much to look at here. There is a beach area there but it was quite crowded and shelling not as good as other beaches on the island

The lighthouse itself may not be very beautiful but the beach surrounding it truly is. A good beach for shelling, and a lot less crowded than for example bowmans beach. I experienced the most beautiful sunset when visiting the beach. If you're visiting FL, sanibel and lighthouse beachvis a must-see!!!

I have been here twice over the years and both time I have seen doulphis playing just meters from the beach. Some nice shells can be found to.

Stopped by the lighthouse - interesting history but at the end of the day - it's a lighthouse! Nothing special.

The lighthouse is pretty but you cannot really access it. Maybe take a picture from a distance. The surrounding beach is pretty from a distance but terribly 'shelly' - full of shells - so you cannot really walk barefoot or hang out casually. Must wear shoes at all times.

We were luckily able to snag a parking spot. We got there early and it was tough. There is a lot of activity at this beach, I think it's because it's close to the causeway and is the first one people find. There are rest rooms which are convenient. There is a fishing pier which we had fun watching people... More
